Southern Cuisine, served "ASAP", As Southern As Possible. Made from Scratch including: Chicken N Waffles, Shrimp N Grits, "Train Wreck", Smoked Pulled Pork, All Sauces, Dressings, Desserts and a Full Selection of Sandwich and Salads.
If you are on a diet, don't come here. The food is caloric and very Southern. We have been here multiple times over the years, both for lunch and dinner. This time we stopped for dinner and planned on having dessert. They encourage you to make reservations online, which was quite easy. We came in a couple minutes early and had to wait on the benches outside, since it is small place that is packed with tables. A few minutes later they came and got us and took our drink order. The decor and feel is like you are visiting someone's house, someone with lots of tables and lots of dishes and flatware that does not all match. Each table has the cookbook on it, which has most of the recipes for the unfamiliar dishes, except the ones that were created after the cookbook was written. At dinner everyone gets the house salad, which has strawberries and a slightly spicy salad dressing. We both love it. They also served pieces of cornbread with butter, one each, which was also quite good. My wife had the Texas Country Fried Chicken and loved it. I had the Low Country Shrimp & Grits, which was very rich and came with 4 medium shrimp and 2 large or jumbo shrimp, all wild caught. It was great and the large shrimp were especially tasty. We had saved room for dessert, with a nice selection of cakes and pies, huge portions. My wife went with White Chocolate Blackberry Cake and was very happy with it. I went with Pecan Pie and also loved mine, including the spiced crust. We ate every bite. Service here is always great. The food, service and atmosphere bring us back and always leave us with pleasant memories.

Johnny Rockets is an international restaurant chain that provides the food, fun and friendliness reminiscent of feel-good Americana. On June 6, 1986, the first Johnny Rockets opened on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, offering guests friendly service and great food in a fun and nostalgic atmosphere. Every original Johnny Rockets restaurant boasts great tasting food from a menu of favorites including juicy hamburgers, classic sandwiches, and hand-dipped shakes and malts. Guests also enjoy an all-American look and feel, tabletop jukeboxes and authentic decor. This classic diner also entertains with dancing every half hour.
During our first visit to The Villages, Hubby and I were looking for breakfast at 11:30 am. Our hosts couldn't recommend an all-day breakfast restaurant, so they recommended Johnny Rockets as having decent food. We disagree.
Nearly everything on the menu is beef, cheese, bacon, or fried. Or a combination of the above. Even the few salads are loaded with heart attack ingredients. If you're looking for a hot dog or burger, you'll enjoy dining here.
Fortunately there was one menu item I could stomach, since Hubby had to be on time for his 1:00 tee time, and finding another restaurant wasn't an option. The black bean burger was actually quite good @ $7.89. The bun was a step up, with a few visible grains on the crust. I was able to substitute a side salad for the fries, which was so small I swallowed it in one gulp.
Hubby ordered the original burger @ $7.99 with fries. He said it was good. The coffee was awful @ $1.99. The first batch was cold and old, and the newly brewed second attempt didn't taste much better.
The ambiance here is cute, quaint, 1950's era, and the service is good. Not my kind of food.

We went here with a group of 12 for Valentine's Day / Anniversary celebration. as expected it was a little... a lot noisy. Service was slow but that was expected BUT the food was delicious. Had the Linguine with muscles and clams in a white sauce... Perfecto! They allowed us to bring in an Anniversary cake and chocolate dipped strawberries.I will be back when the snowbirds have left and not on a holiday when you can actually talk to my dinner date.

America's regional favorites served with a smile! Enjoy our generous portions and genuine hospitality. Our menu consists of soups, salads, sandwiches, spuds and appetizers. Our beverages induced our hand-crafted, famous sweet iced tea, fantastic unsweetened iced tea and lemonade. All of these delicious beverages can be enhanced with flavoring such as peach, strawberry or wild berry. Coca-Cola products are also available!
Ordered a Taco Salad and a cup of chili. Since the cashier was training and had a "supervisor" with her, there was extensive discussion regarding the order. The order which was delivered is not the one placed. When the expediter was informed, he began to instruct how the customer had made a mistake. It took some time to help him understand that the cashier had made an error. In addition, the bill revealed that a large water is not provided free but entails a sixty cent charge. This was not mentioned during ordering either.

Russell Stover Candies is a familiar and beloved name to lovers of chocolate the world over. Currently the largest manufacturer of boxed chocolates in North America, the company's roots are deep in family values and traditions.
We always stop here when in the area and seem to always buy something. We have their rewards card, so every once in a while they have freebies. If you don't mind getting chocolate for last years events like Valentines Day, you will get bargains here. The Bloopers (mistakes) boxes are fun for us, but some need to know what they are getting and don't like them. They also have ice cream and things like chocolate covered bananas, if you don't want something in a box. And yes, they do have sugar free candy.

At Los Magueyes, we strive to provide with the best Mexican dinning experience in the Wildwood, Fl area. Our authentic Mexican dishes allow us to take our amigos on a journey back to our casas (homes) in Mexico and have a taste of a homemade meal.
Heard from a friend about this place and very happy she told us about it! It’s in a large strip mall. Inside, the decor is colorful and very welcoming. Small bar area but large space inside restaurant area with many tables. The menu and choice of entrees is terrific with every possible Mexican dish you would want. The chips and salsa are great, as were our entrees. Husband had enchiladas with white sauce and I had a beef stuffed quesadilla. All served with the best rice and guacamole! Prices are very reasonable and service timely. Food was served hot and plentiful. Although there is a full bar of drink choices we each just had beer. We will definitely be back!!!!!

This is a charming place for a wonderful lunch. The menu has a great variety of choices that are just a little different. I had the Turkey with cream cheese and cranberries. It was delicious. The the desserts looked yummy, but the meal was very filling. I would have given a higher rating, but our server was not very good. She was not friendly, got the order wrong, and was too hurried to bring a box or the check. In spite of that, the food is so good that I would return.

We have eaten at other Oakwood Restaurants so when we saw this one in Wildwood we had to try it. It was just as good being an express as the other full size Oakwood restaurants we have eaten at. Monday through Thursday they do a baby back rib, full slab special for $13.99. Comes with a choice of 2 sides and Texas toast, best deal on the menu. More ribs than I could eat but nothing wrong with takin home a doggie bag. I had a baked sweet potato with mine and with an upgraded side at an extra cost. Everything was delicious, the ribs were fall off the bone tender. Not smothered in an over abundance of sauce so you could taste the meat. Extra sauce on the table if you need it, I enjoyed the ribs as they came on my plate. There are plenty of other choices on the menu such as fish and chicken if ribs aren't your thing. Heard the dessert are the best cobbler around, just didn't have room to try it, maybe next time. We went late afternoon and no waiting to be seated or served. Very clean, great staff. Will visit again.

Scrooples recently changed their ice cream supplier from Hershey's to another company for cost reasons; you can really tell the difference as their new ice-cream lacks the flavor of Hershey's in many different flavors, especially the 'no sugar added" flavors. Scopes prices are high, but you do not paying a premium for premium ice cream which they no longer offer.

So, we have been to Square 1 twice now, first for beers, and then today for lunch. They have a reasonable selection of craft beers, and pretty good food - imaginative burgers, reasonably imaginative sides, and things are prepared pretty well.
However, service could be most charitably described as 'quirky', and maybe better described as slow. Everyone is friendly, which is a plus, but things seem to happen in their own time. In other words, not a place to go if you are in a hurry. Also, the server does not seem to know beer - we ordered a stout, and ended up getting a blond ale!! It was fixed, but come on... the beers are not close to the same color.
Also, the food is priced pretty well - $9-16 for the burgers - but the beer seems high. All of the drafts seem to come in tulip glasses, and you can expect to pay $5-6.50 a piece. You usually get tulip glasses for high ABV beers, but I don't usually see that for more normal pours.
