Dorothy clicked her heels to return to Kansas, and you'll want to do the same after you've visited this one-time cattle town turned modern, booming city, where the spirit of the Old West lives on. To get a feel of the early pioneer days, visit the recreated village at the Old Cowtown Museum. For a slightly more eccentric experience, visit the Museum of Ancient Treasures, which has everything from a baseball signed by Joe DiMaggio to a shrunken head. The Indian Center Museum features works by Plains Indian artists. Wichita is an aircraft manufacturing center, and the Kansas Aviation Museum honors pioneers in the field, as well as housing model planes. Exploration Place gives kids more insights into aviation and other scientific wonders. For nature and wildlife, check out Botanica's lovely gardens or head over to the Sedgwick County Zoo, home to over 350 species of animals. Wichita stays up when the sun goes down: there's nightlife, culture, karaoke and cuisine for all tastes.

This is literally my favorite restaurant. It's a bit pricey for our budget, so it is our special occasion dinner destination. I was disappointed that the tenderloins were removed from the menu, but it is not hard to find something equally delicious. The ceasar salad with sweet cornbread croutons is fantastic... as is their sweet cornbread.

I enjoyed the varied selection, as I'm adhering to a Paleo diet and it was easy enough to find something wonderful on the menu.

Came here with 3 friends and got the 3 meat platter with the pulled pork, Turkey, and brisket. It took several attempts to flag down the waitress to put in our order, as it felt like that she forgot about us after 15min. Overall, it was pretty good, though the brisket left a lot to be desired.

I visited just before Christmas with a party of 10, all family in town for the holiday. Good appetizers, including calamari, hummus and others. But the service was poor and the meals were overpriced and poorly presented.
My full plate scallops with green beans and squash pasta was tasty but had only 3 small scallops. I've never been served such a measly portion as an entree for nearly $40. My brother in law's medium steak came out rare. Then it was taken back and brought out well done. He ended up eating mashed potatoes for dinner. My daughter's order of shrimp wasn't served at all. Shrimp were added to my husband's pork chop so we assumed they were hers and got a salad dish and scraped off portions of his food for her. We never got her sides.
The management did nothing to correct these errors and demanded full payment for misserved dinners. They did not offer any free substitute or dessert or anything to make up for their mistakes. If your entree is wrong at this place, you are expected to order another, wait for it and pay for both entrees. Or, you can sit there and go hungry. Yes, as a table we paid several hundred dollars to leave hungry. I won't be back to Newport Grill again. Not worth the hassle.

Really good pizza and very nice wait staff. Went in before a school program and were in a hurry, no problem. My grandson needed a gluten free pizza and again no problem. All was very good and prompt service. Appreciate it and thanks, Ziggy's.

When you walk through the door, it becomes a scent moment-essence of savory ingredients and the smells from the wood fired oven.
While we prefer the Douglas location, you can depend on consistently exceptional offerings at the Bradley Fair also
The menu is Italian with soups, salads, panini, piadine (folded flatbread sandwiches) as well as traditional pastas.
In my opinion, what puts Il Vicino on the culinary map is the inspired and deeply flavorful wood oven pizzas.
There are 15 different ingredient combinations-soooo hard to make a choice. My fave is #13 BIANCA. The unique combination of capocolla, mozzarella, Gorgonzola, goat cheese, portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, tomatoes and fresh rosemary! Wow
Your order at the counter and pay and a friendly server will bring it to you and the portions are generous and very reasonably priced.

Locally owned & operated by Chef Patrick & Timirie Shibley. Offering over the top gourmet style twists to diner classics, and then some. All fresh ingredients, and made from scratch. It's suggested to utilize their "Call Ahead Seating" for weekends, as the wait is usually at about an hour on weekends. Opened September 2012. Winner of "Best Breakfast" by Wichita Magazine in January 2015-2018, Wichita Eagle Readers Choice Award 2016 - 2018 Best Breakfast. Sunday is Brunch Buffet only, no regular menu service. Call Ahead seating does not guarantee your seats will be waiting at your requested time, but it certainly reduces your wait time. Comfortable waiting area with video/pinball games. No kid menu or crayons available.
A bunch of us dropped in for breakfast at the suggestion of “Doo-Dah addict”. Between the five people were n our group we ordered five different things and everyone raved about what they had. For me, a perfectly cooked waffle did the trick. The person on one side of me had corned beef hash and eggs, and the same be on the other side had eggs benedict with a crab cake in place of the Canadian bacon. I’m going back at least twice to try both of those!

My husband and I , thanks to a couple of friends, dined at this amazing, romantic, charming gem of a restaurant in Wichita. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Our haloumi salad and entrees were fantastic. Bel Ami is one of Wichitas best kept secrets. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
