We have been before and we will certainly come back. Papadams and dips with water were delivered shortly after we arrived, champagne glasses and ice buckets were delivered while we decided on our entrees and mains. Entrees selected this time - Vegetable Pakoras and Tandoori Salmon for something different. The salmon was the winner here - juicy and tasty. I was tempted by the Pepper Beef but had to select the Beef Vindaloo because it is just so good - perfect level of heat. Other selections on the table included, Chicken Saag, Beef Madras and Chicken Kadai? Friendly service and this time we met the owner Vijay. A great venue serving really good Indian food.

The girlfriend and I came in with a bottle of wine, ordered butter chicken, land korma, rice, roti and samosa. The staff were super friendly and the food was cooked fresh and delicious. Affordable night, only $25 for each and we had lots of food.

Two of us enjoyed Persian Pomegranate Chicken (Fesenjan). While it isn't on the normal lunch menu, it is a really good selection. The rest enjoyed the normal fare. Everybody was happy.
We had a take away meal from Railway Tiffin. It is reasonably new and we thought we would give it a go.For entree we had the meat and vegetable samosas. They were quite good and were accompanied by a variety of sauces and chutneys. We also had Tandoori missed grill. Much of that was dry and not very flavoursome. The butter chicken was good but the Railwat Station lamb curry lacked depth and flavour.Overall, an adequate take away experience. Certainly good value.
This is a local Indian restaurant just neat Mitcham Station. The lady out front is a delight. She works hard and knows her food and service. Her husband cooks and you won't find better Indian food anywhere. It is a family affair with the daughter sometimes helping out as a waitress and the son out back doing his homework. The decor is simple but tasteful. Always a winner here.

If you only go to one Indian restaurant come here. Handi is truly amazing. We had the Royal Banquet and what a feast it was. It covered so much. Goat, fish, chicken plus soo much more. The starters were dream like - tender, tasty. Mains provided a lovely array of tastes and textures. Dessert melted in our mouths. The only thing better than the food was the staff. Attentive & not intrusive. Very helpful. We shall return - often.Thank you very much, Gerry.K.It was a pleasure serving you.We take a lot of pride in our food and service and we are glad you noticed. Our banquets are carefully picked to represent the variety of flavors we offer.Thank you again.Handi's Management

The lamb saag and butter chicken were sensational and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The medium vegetable curry was also very good but mostly peas and the vegetable platter entree were heavy with the thick casings/batter which was a shame. Perhaps poor choice on our part? The service was friendly and welcoming. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.
