This restaurant is not for everyone. The menu is limited, there is no ambiance and the prices are high. However they have certainly perfected what they make!Best steak I've ever had!Dinner for 2 set us back $108. We shared tiger prawns for entree. These were cooked to perfection. Delicious.Both had steak for main (scotch fillet?). Steak comes with coleslaw and potato salad on the side. Seriously the best I've had.Both had a drink. Service was good. This is a Mum and Dad operation. Quiet on a Wednesday night.The restaurant itself is old and dorky (but neat and clean). I'd be happy to go again for that steak!

Great for a lunch break, and coffee is good. Range of choices in lighter lunches and full meals.Also has tapas on Friday and Saturday nights - have not tried this yet

We tried a little cafe called 1809 in Mt Waverley & we werenât disappointed! Well worth the 25 min drive. Great service & Wayne loved the orange soaked Bircher muesli! I had smashed avo with poached eggs that were perfectly cooked & pomegranate & fetta. Highly recommend it & yes as you can see little Miss loved the Nutella milkshake! Beautifully decked out too!!

Went here out of convenience rather than by choice and held no great hopes for the fare. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals that were served up, open souvlaki, a pizza, lamb fillets. Each of us very happy with the meal and reasonable price. Would be ideal for a pre cinema feed and drink.

We had a business meeting at this place and really enjoyed their lamb salad. My colleague ordered the burger on beetroot brioche bun with very nice hot chips on the side. Serving is huge and worth the price. Service was good. We will definitely visit this place again.

Went to Sketches based on a recommendation from the hotel and was had a very pleasant meal.The service was warm and welcoming. The Crispy Skin Salmon perfectly cooked and accompanied by some lovely broth, Sina noodles and radishes. My colleague had the lamb shank special and kept raving on about it.Great desserts as well - look forward to coming back on my next trip.

Celebrated a friendâs birthday last week, and had dinner here. The food was reasonably priced and the staff were helpful and friendly. I had the seafood paella, and so did the birthday girl.Am planning to come back soon.

Went for lunch on a Sunday, and the venue wasn't too busy. I took advantage of the lunch special, $35 for two courses with a drink (red/white wine, beer on tap, soft drink or coffee), and had the fijian fish salad (similar to a ceviche with coconut sauce), 150g porterhouse, and a latte to finish. Service was great, food delivered efficiently, and good food (the only downside was that I ordered a medium rare steak and got medium, but was forgivable as it was delicious). As long term residents of Glen Waverley, my wife and I have been visiting the RSL Warramunga Restaurant for many years and it continues to improve. It is not quite silver service, but each table wears a very clean white table cloth and is lit by an electronic candle. The food is basically international, and the quality of meals is very high. I had the whiting fish in beer batter and my meal was accompanied by salad and chips served in a basket to keep them from becoming soggy. My meal was excellent and my wife was equally happy with hers. There were five very pleasant young women serving meals, and I would describe the service as very friendly and very adequate. After each course, we were pleasantly asked whether we had enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere in the Warramunga is very welcoming but I would suggest that visitors avoid the busiest Friday and Saturday nights if conversation is important. We went on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was at least three-quarters full at all times. There is adequate car parking close to this RSL. Members are allowed to park in the RSL car park but public parking is provided across the road.
