Usually we sit at the bar here and drink the great wines they have but tonight we came in for dinner. We decided to share the tapas style menu and chose the meatballs, absolutely divine, the potato fritters and the lamb cutlets. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Mantra Studio Kitchen and Bar is a multi-purpose venue and event space including weekend all day dining, performance and event spaces and a professional recording studio. It borrows from the personalities of the director's musical background and penchant
Hidden down a little cul de sac in Yarraville off Francis Street, this amazing venue will blow you away! Everything about it is fabulous, from the staff to the background music, to the food. This is the sort of restaurant we want in our neighbourhood, it's owned by muso's who obviously love food! There is a private function room too which is good to know! The attention to detail here is impressive! I emailed to ask about vegetarian options as we had vegetarian friends with us and the owner responded immediately to let me know the chef would be in touch. The chef got in touch right away and went through all the options for me. That's the sort of place this is! Welcoming, warm and professional. We can't wait to go back! The breakfast menu also looks amazing! Thanks so much for providing your review- we look forward to your return and appreciate your support

We came for an early fatherâs day celebration on Sunday 25th August. Very disappointed with the service. We ordered 3 wine flights and 1 whisky flight, and a farmer grazer platter. Our experience started with the waiter spilling water all over the table, but not returning to clean it up. We the received the wrong order 4 wine flights. We had to wait 15 minutes for this to be fixed. Half way through our experience I realised the serving size of the cheese that I received was only a third at best as those who also had the same large serve wine flight. The waiter then appeared to top up our water and proceeded to drip it all over our basket of bread and crackers making everything soggy. I raised the portion size issue and it was blatantly ignored. In order to make the most of our celebrations I left it. But I would not recommend this as the 5 star experience it professes to be. Aside from this Iâve tasted better Australian wine and cheeses and whisky than what they had on offer. The pairings however were done well. Something I can say weâve now done, however their was no consistency and poor service so I would not bother to go again. When 5he waiter pulls out a note book and reads ad nauseous from his own scribbled notes to describe what you are about to taste is warning enough! I wish I could say I was alone on my review however the table behind us had much the same comments!Oh dear... Eirene, we hate hearing this was your experience. We are very sorry. It sounds like you might have had one of our newer staff members. Sunday was extremely busy for us and caught us off guard, so our more senior staff probably weren't as present as they should have been to advise our new staff member. We will have a chat to the entire team about this, as this is simply not the level of service we abide at Milk the Cow. Honest mistakes are one thing, not fixing them when you've clearly given them the opportunity is another entirely. We're very disappointed. Would you mind emailing our office with your details so we can follow up with you personally? As for the quality of our cheeses and whiskies, we may have to agree to disagree... we stock some of the most-awarded artisan products from both Australia and around the world, and if the ones you had were not to your taste there are definitely other options in our cabinet! With 180 cheeses to choose from and an extensive beverage list, there's something to appeal to every discerning palate. We hope we can tempt you to give us another chance to prove how good we can be.

Went along for the advertised Sunday night roast dinner. Arrived at 7:30 and only one serve of roast was left. The roast was beef not really served with roast vegetables but potatoes and kale and other greens. My husband had a chicken parmigiana and friend had the burger. Food was good but nothing to brag about. Overall it was an underwhelming experience. I will give this place another go in a few weeks!
