Things to do in Weissenkirchen
The historic Klosterhof offers guests a traditional Austrian kitchen with savory delicacies and sweet delights. A great choice of excellent wines produced in the region ensures an exquisite corresponding wine. We are particularly proud of our exceptional
We came late and tired just for quick dinner. Sitting in a large patio ot the building, we had local food, for me a blackpudding woth boiled potatoes, well seasoned and mixed together (unusual, but quite good), good sauerkraut (cold) with smoked meat and speck. My wife had chicken in a light (not with double cream) paprika sauce and some local pasta. Some local beer, OK for tired tourists, very few guests. Several people were playing bingo in adjointed large room, some light and noises were hearable, but not much. Service was not much interested, delivered what we asked for.
Very worth visiting. Good service, wonderful wine, good food. Sitting in the garden on the vineyard, overlooking pictoresque hills. What else would you need when visiting Wachau?!
Nice family b&b. The rooms were tidy and very clean. The typical Austrian style cached our attention. The restaurant was not operated by time we were there but we had nice wine tasting.Alexandra served us with very good breackfast. The warm bread was served every morning. We have tasted the local smocked meet and sausages, eggs, even the coffee was perfect. We felt ourselves like at home.

We stayed in the apartment for 2 nights and can only say it was 5 star accommodation. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide selection to choose from, the wine and the food was first class too. We will most definitely be regulars there.

went with a bunch of guys to this 'Heurigen' (= wine tavern where they only are allowed to sell wine and spirits tehy have made themselfs.. so no beers). Was a great experiance, we ordered a pallter ofcold cuts which was pently. bread was freshly baked and the whole atmosphere very familiar. No typical touristy Heurigen, with unattentive service and high prices. We tasted various wines, could not complain about any, would alos not call em my favourites too. We all had no headache the next day, so the quality was/is good.Do not try the Schnapps, the taste is 'special' some said it tasted like glue though..it did not taste better after having several of it...

This place has one of the most impressive terraces and views we have seen for a while. Overlooking vineyards and perfect view of the castle and churches of Dürnstein - just mind blowing. We stopped just for a drink and shared a cold platter which was big and for 10 eur amazing value. Service was friendly and food they carried around looked good. They open for breakfast too! We would definitely be back to try more!

Dort servi
There are many vineries serving good wine and food along the Danube river. However, this place is a top Destination and you should go for it. As a traditional "Heuriger" place they have a fine selection of tipical and excellent food, all homemade. Also, they serve beautiful wines, I regret that I didnt try them all. Take your time, relax, and enjoy the lovely garden, very friendly people, wonderful food and amazing wines. Thanks a lot for your assessment.Hopefully we will see each other again.Family Eigl
