Visited Cal Figarot on a recommendation of our Spanish hostess there was 14 of us so we had to have a set tapas menu and could not choose from the menu (even though it was all tapas) the food (even the Patatas bravas) was not good, there was no redeeming features to mention except for the food that we could see being served to the locals which was a world away from the end cuts of chorizo and local white/black pudding sausage that was served and I must give special mention to the local âTomato Breadâ as it is listed on the menu, this was about 6 small toast soldiers of reasonably nice bread with 2 quarters of a tomato on the side??? And at over â¬350 for the bill we expected better. However the local castelliers (human tower) train here Mondayâs and Fridays and you can book a table to sit and watch a truly amazing human spectacle not to be missed, just donât bother with the food....

Hambuerguesas bien, bravas bien, tienen buena oferta de cervezas, local agradable, servicio rapido, tienen vinos Penedès que estan bien... pero no se desmarca de otras hamburgueserias de vilafranca. Con lo que se han puesto de modas las hamburguesas, muchos restaurantes han cambiado sus cartas o han añadido las hamburguesas en su oferta, algunos se lo han currado mucho, aqui las hamburguesas estan bien, pero solo bien, sin más, faltaria algo mas para diferenciar y atraer a más gente, aunque la carta no està mal, alomejor, un trato más simpatico, agradable, algun plato del dia o recomendación... (el detalle de cambiar el acompañamiento de patatas con la hamburguesa si pides patatas bravas para picar seria de agradecer) podria mejorar el sitio.Mi conclusion es que hay mejores sitios para hacer una hamburguesa en vilafranca, tiene mucho margen de mejora, si empieza por ser más simpatico con los clientes, ya tiene mucho ganado, cuidar un poco los detalles.La comida OK

Got caught by siesta. Arrived 4pm. Shop not open until 5pm.Sat down and had coffee, patatas brava, toasted tomato bread, anchovies, olives and ham. Spent a pleasant hour out on the terrace. Then inside. Great selection of wine and spirits, especially local Penedes, Priorat and Conca wines.

Unexpected vegetarian restaurant in Villafranca de Penedes.The environment was comfortable and cosy + the food was fresh and very tasty. It felt like we were having authentic food that was cooked with a lot of love. The waiter was attentive and we felt like we were at home.Very recommended!

We were walking in Vilafranca and this place was the best choice ever. The quality of the food is excellent with a large variety of Catalan dishes. If you have no idea to make your choice ask for advice to the lady serving there she was lovely. I was with my partner and I have got the feeling to enjoy the food like being in a family! Next time I will try "El pollo a la brasa con leña" . Moltes grà cies, fins aviat!
