We were walking in Ventimiglia idly looking for an alternative place to eat after finding the restaurant we were originally seeking was closed. Our handy Trip Advisor app informed us that this well-recommended restaurant was just across the street. The woman in charge (possibly one of the co-owners as described previously?) greeted us warmly, directed us to a table, and was more than happy to discuss the meal offerings on the board with us in English, as sadly we can speak no more than a few words of Italian. We chose between us a pasta with melanzone (eggplant) and meatloaf with an "omelet" in it. Our charming hostess hastened to assure us humorously that their meatloaf was not made of leftovers but only the freshest ingredients. Since "enoteca" means something like "wine library," and we were presented with an extensive wine list, we described our preferences and asked her to choose a glass of wine for each of us. Both the meals and the wine were delicious. The prices are exceptionally reasonable (I hope the owners don't read this and decide to increase them!) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stop at this casual and charming little spot. We can recommend it enthusiastically.

What an amazing surprise. Was taken here by friends and found this place an excellent experience. The decor great as set inside a medieval cave surrounded by suits of armour and even the grim reaper on the stairs.Asked for a beer and was given a book of different ones to choose from. Had some aperitivo which included a wooden board with what can only be described as mount Etna in sliced meat and cheese on it.The bar even had a separate self contained area fully decked out with similar armour etc for smokers.Friendly staff/owners great evening would throughly recommend this place if your nearby.
