We dined here our first night at the Ritz Carlton. Was expecting there to be more pasta selections on the menu. Ended up ordering the pizza and wasn't disappointed. I got the arugula and prosciutto pizza and it was outstanding. The crust was perfect and all of the toppings were very flavorful. We ended up getting take out pizza one other night because it was so good! Would have enjoyed seeing more classic pasta dishes on the menu and some more standard salads. They have a gelato bar as well that we stopped at a few times during our vacation. Delicious! I've been to Tahu a few times and it just keeps getting better and better. A lot of my friends have heard about the spot and some are shocked that Cayman finally has a Spanish restaurant so I decided to write a review. Granted I love tapas - the dishes on the menu are exactly what I have eaten on travels in Spain which already tells you that it is going to be amazingly authentic. The portions are small but full of flavor and that's perfect because it means you can try multiple dishes - which is exactly what you want to do and the whole purpose of tapas. My favorites are the mushroom montadito, sticky ribs and the octopus. The patatas bravas are also great - I've had that at other places on the island and the potatoes are always too dry or really soggy but these are perfectly cooked. The tortilla is to die for and the bread is amazing - the sourdough, the bread with the pan con tomate dish, and even the free bread they bring out with olives is all so delicious. The chorizo is also done perfectly (see photo!) And I came once with a friend months ago who tried the prawns in garlic who still talks about them as one of the best things she's eaten in a long while! Everything is also presented so beautifully including the cold cuts.They have also just started a new coffee selection - the Bailey's coffee is lovely - Mike makes a great coffee, and Marlon does the best sangria on island (another favorite of my friend) their happy hour gets really lively and the place is super romantic (waiting for my boyfriend to get a night off so we can go here!!)If you are serious about tapas and want to know what a proper Spanish restaurant is about then you need to come here. Or if you have been to Spain before and want to be taken back to your travels then this is the place.Thank you so much for your kind words! A different concept that we had ever seen elsewhere. Once you get a card you go around to either favorite choices or what looks like types you might like. Insert the card which you've already told the tender the size amount you want for the tasting and away you go. Once you finish you return the card and it allows the tender to give you the amount you owe. They have a happy period which wasn't on when we attended and they give some % off. There is also music which you may or may not like playing whiler you enjoy your drinks.
