We stumbled upon this little place, on an off the cuff trip to Sicili.Our host was very attentive, and with our very poor Italian, we ordered a small local cheese and meat platter to share. Absolutely lovely!!!The local beer slipped Down in the hot sunshine.We definitely plan to return for an evening before we leave the island.Canât recommend enough

In Scicli for visiting the famous Commissariato of Vigata, Camilleri's fictional Sicilian town where Montalbano conducts his investigations. We stopped for a quick lunch in Ummara, great little place with Sicilian dishes with a twist to it, great pasta and the desert was really great. The millefoglie con Ricotta. Prices are correct, service was fast and we felt really well.

This restaurant is in a very lovely place with quite surrounding, is cozy and inviting. However following the advice of the waiter I took a linguine with bottarga - only tasted of olive oil and parsley. Having made a complain about it all I got was a 'sorry I'm not the chef'. Also, indicating that my girlfriend would have two appetizers and I would have a first course only, they sent the dishes in two different times. Result: we basically ate seperately.Although I complained about both issues they didn't even have the courtesy of offering coffee or amaro, which in Sicily is common even without complaint. To keep it short: young staff with no particular capacity or know-how, fairly high price, and for what I ate, not tasty, though the caponata was good.
