Reviews on Wine Bar food in San Antonio, Texas, United States. Step to the beat of wafting flamenco music as you wander the downtown River Walk before sampling as much chili (San Antonio’s signature dish) as your taste buds will allow. A visit to the Alamo is an absolute must, as is taking in a show at the ornate Majestic Theatre. San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is dotted with 18th-century buildings and features, making for an enriching excursion.

My friend and I stopped in here for a drink before heading back to the hotel. While we did not order anything to eat, the menu looked wonderful. Our drinks were really good and the wine list was strong. The people working were extremely friendly and nice to chat with. I would definitely return to try the food!

We were recommended this small bistro from our hotel concierge, and it was a phenomenal experience. The arepas and tequeno appetizers were tasty and just the right portion size. I had a great filet and my date loved, loved, LOVED the Red Snapper entree. They have a small but varied wine list, and great service. The owner stopped by a few times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, and, the entire experience was a solid a+. It can get a bit cold in there, but other than that, the decor, food and service were top notch.

We went on recommendation from our hotel. We really enjoyed our 2 visits there, good service and a lively friendly crowd. The bar contains a converted bank vault now used as a liquor store. Well made classic Martinis with a number of speciality drinks, which my wife enjoyed, a bit on the sweet side for me. Two blocks from the river walk.
