I was looking for a place for dinner in S. Giovanni on a Sunday eve (challenging task...) and found this family owned restaurant which was simply perfect. Excellent food and service and most important, warm and friendly owners. After wornderful and delicious dinner they showed me the wine cellars with old private bottle collection and it was a perfect finale for a great evening.

My wife and I visited twice during our stay in town. Fantastic simple well presented menu with an extensive wine list prices to suite all budgets.The hams, cheeses or larger meals are excellent and once again the owners couldn't be more helpful in advising or suggesting combinations of food from their menu.Owners passionate about the food and wine they offer!

What a place! What a welcome! Small restaurant, a little outside Bologna. Everything is home made. Bread basket delicious, Everything we ate was really good. First we shared a sélection of dried hams, salami, and local cheese, very tasty. And then I had beef tartar, hmm...and finished of with homemade pasta with asparagus.. And Paolo recommended us some local wine, which was very interesting.If we come back to Bologna I would sure like to come back here. Thanks for a great evening.
