Wegen Tripadvisor gekommen und die Karte studiert: Richtig, nicht zuviele Gerichte, was ja auf eine gute Küche hindeutet und trotzdem für jeden was dabei! Leider war die erste Wahl bereits früh am Abend aus, schade. Aber auch die gewählten Schweinebäckchen waren ganz hervorragend!Lieber weniger Auswahl, dafür frisch und gut gemacht, das ist hier die Devise und meiner Meinung nach ist das auch richtig. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

We were lucky to find this little gem as we drove through the Moselle Valley. We had a light, delicious, well cooked and beautifully presented lunch here. Our server was lovely and attentive. She spoke english but didn't mind my clumsy attempts to order in German. I wish that we could have sampled the wines but alas! We were driving. If we are ever fortunate enough to be back in the area, we will definitely return to the Wine-cafe am Stadtturm!Dear Rdior,thank you so much for your compliments! Excellent place to go to when you are in Krov or surroundings. We bought our wines quite some years at this winery. The family owns the wine yards for many many years. My parents already bought their wine from 'der Peter'. The son started experimenting and bottling a dry white wine, which we like extremely, and can be bought for more then ten years already. They also sell the sweeter Spatlase, or the famous trocken beeren auslese or the eiswein.

Definitely a place to have a great dinner while in Traben-Trarbach. The owner and his family run the restaurant so you receive personable and friendly service. As well, their menu has an english translation. Our food was delicious and came very quickly after our order. The wine we drank was tasty as well. They have outdoor seating which was appreciated. Much of the food is inspired by local cuisine. All was good and this place is highly recommended by us.

Wir waren am 5.Mai 2019 mit zwei Paaren in der Merler Hölle. Es war due Hölle. Halbes Hähnchen aus der Frittöse übergart. Pommes fetttriefend. Due Majonaise aus der Tüte war ok. Im Lokal wird geraucht. Dazu laut und ungemütlich. Der Wein von 2015 war genieÃbar. Aber wir werden dort nicht mehr hin gehen.

We fancied a change and joined the barbecue at Springiersbacher Hof. Not quite sure of how it would work (and not having the German linguistic skills to work it out) but our friendly hosts explained you selected your salads then the meat chosen was taken to the barbeque and cooked for you. The marinated meat was delicious and not burnt to a crisp as can so often happen with barbecued food. There was plenty of variety with the salads and it was okay to return to the salad bar as often as you wanted. Lovely atmosphere, great wine list from their own winery. It was not expensive and we weren't rushed away after our meal, we were told that the table was ours for the evening. Finished off with a local gin made on the premises, excellent evening with very friendly staff who made us feel really welcome.

Very nice and authentic place. Great place outside below wine ranks, although you have to reserve or wait because it is so popular. But it is definitely worth it. Super friendly staff and nice authentic cooking. You can get quite big plates from bread to meat. Try the cheese balls..
