Horrible service. Terrible place. Very rude. Should be more considerate towards different types of people. Treated us differently, as if they've never met people of different ethnic descent.

The meals at La Piola are tasty and varied. The restaurant is very busy, and reservations are recommended. We ate lunch and dinner there. We did not have reservations for dinner and ended up eating in the hallway that accesses the restaurant. The restaurant is at the end of a colonnade off the Piazza del Popolo. We had truffle pasta and spare ribs...both excellent. Service is sporadic based on how busy they are, but the food makes up for it.

This little corner is about as romantic as a gondola ride in venice. Its amazing. The owner is a young man that cares for his customers. Think twice about ordering a Primi and Secondo. The Spaghetti carobonera was amazing but I had to try the tripe as well. Big mistake. I was Full after the spaghetti.. But I managed to tackle the Tripe. It was off the hook!! This is a great place to stop in for a glass of great wine and some finger foods as well. Slices of wonderful bread with porchetta, Or Montasio cheese. Its all great!!

I think this little osteria by the river is one of the best kept secrets of the region and it's worth a try. Lovely wines are accompanied by little bites with interesting flavours using the best ingredients. Salami and cured meat is also accompanied by traditional horseradish relish, which is not so easy to find anymore. Don't be afraid of asking for the daily menu, the staff will surprise you with a long list of dishes to tempt even fussy eaters. But don't expect prices or menu on display in typical Italian fashion. Nothing comes cheap but they won't rip you off anyway so have a go!

The atmosphere is very pleasant. Not many tables but everything is arranged with taste. This is a place you MUST try if you are around. The food is exquisite. The dishes are well thought, You can say that the ingredients are very good quality. The only cons is the price. It is a little bit pricey... Not too much. Just a little bit over what I would pay ...

If you are on your way out to dinner, in between dinner and not ready to go home... Fun little place to visit. Limited on wine selection and indoor seating, but decor in "rustico" style and atmosphere are its charm! No real table service so you must go to the bar for service. Light snacks crostini visible at the bar. Gorgonzola amazing if you like it! Prices for a glass range from 1,25-4,00⬠with just above average pour. I enjoy going here for a glass or two, "in betweener". Heads up... Toilet is an advanced "thigh master" (Turkish toilet) difficulty level of "10" if stilettos are involved... :D

I have been coming here for a few years now and it is great every time. I prefer the lunch menu as I think it varies more and there's more choice. The dinner menu tends to be a bit monotonous (though good), the wine selection is prime. It's a little gem in the heart of Pordenone.
Where to eat Italian food in Polcenigo: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This is one of the best osteria I have been to since in Italy. The fare is classic with a fantastic variation on the classic theme. The Venetian menu is simple but in this restaurant it is a nice modern twist making the usual seem unusual. The products are local and ultra fresh, and everything is made right there. There were local black truffles, porcini and excellent homemade pasta. The wild boar was out of this world served with polenta taragna. The ambience is typical of an osteria but very comfortable and homey. The service was friendly and right on the mark all the time. The portions are not huge so it is possible to have an appetizer and a pasta dish or an appetizer and a main course and then finish it all off with a splendid dessert. This young chef needs to be recognized or discovered I should say. I would love to see someone with his talent in the United States only problem is that once these wonderful chefs go abroad, the prices climb to the stars and this fabulous local fare becomes a luxury. So, while he is still in Italy, hurry over to his Osteria, you will not regret it!

We were early, and sat outside on the patio, nursing our spritzers. When the kitchen opened we enjoyed the calamari as well as the shrimp and eggplant. Service was excellent and the food very tasty. Although the patio is adjacent to the street, there were virtually no cars and just a few pedestrians walked by. Good find.
