Small and cozy place(wine bar) located in the heart of the city, between the main street and the historical Old Town. You can find here some fine wines and enjoy them with our homemade appetizers. Moreover, every month we organise different wine tastings a
Knowledgeable staff went downstairs and got exactly the kind of wine we were looking for, and a Bulgarian variety too! I didn't get to try much but they appeared to have a great selection and the tapa we had was also very good. I think if I lived here is become a regular! Place is very chill.

After reading these good opinions we decided to order here... all looked good outside BUT the meat was disgusting, containing bones, hard and pale in color. I wouldnât give it to a dog. After few bites I couldnât do it anymore so I left it. Still feeling sick from it. Terrifying bad

OPERA Restaurant is an elegant and refined restaurant located in the center of Plovdiv. Offers delicious cuisine and professional attitude. We offer only Bulgarian cuisine.
We chose to eat here because itâs almost next door to our hotel and it was raining heavily. Despite the restaurant having a low TA ranking (at the time of writing) we decided to try it because it only had two reviews - one was 4* and the other 5*. We were not disappointed. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is good. The restaurant appears to have both an upstairs and a downstairs. We were downstairs so I donât know what is upstairs but saw food being carried there. My only criticism of the restaurant is the lack of atmosphere downstairs - there is a row of coolers against one wall and a TV. Itâs not one where Iâd choose for a romantic meal or even a relaxed dinner. That said we only had a main course, the traditional Thracian stew but it was very good indeed. There was a lot of meat in and it was full of flavour. The meal was also very cheap. Despite our having had the two most expensive dished on the menu and 3 50 cl glasses of beer the bill came to less than 30 LEV.I wouldnât return immediately but if Iâm looking for a light meal rather than a full meal I will return here.Thank you! We try to do our best. And we can assure you that soon the atmosphere downstairs will be much better. We ar working this way.

Okay we had a private wine tasting here and then went back. I can say that this was my first proper wine bar in Bulgaria and it opened my eyes to some amazing wine.Just get in there and try some of the excellent Rubin and Mavrud as well as the rest. The wine from the owners' vineyard Bendida is amazing and to be supported and enjoyed they clearly know their stuff as well as simply enjoying the wine making process. The wine bar sits in a trendy street where you can sit outside and quaff a lovely glass of what ever is on the go. They even give you a tasty snack.YumDear John,Thank you very much for the nice words. We are very happy to hear that you have enjoyned our limited editions wines made from Bulgarian varieties and that you have been well treated by our staff. We are looking forward to welcome you again to try more of the Bulgarian wine treasures.
