Located in a pretty village on the canal du midi, Vinauberge, restaurant, wine bar, we also have rooms for seminars and receptions. you can also take a break in our houses.
The Vinauberge is right on a bend on the Canal Du Midi and the building is gorgeous. I visited last week just as they had opened again and the food was lovely. There was a lamb special for Easter which my boyfriend had and enjoyed and I had a steak which was lovely. Great array of wines to choose from and friendly service.

Having recently bought a house in the area, this could have become a regular. Unfortunately the owner was rude and the food overpriced. My son was served raw chicken - no apology offered. My husband had oysters and was ill for days.Thank you for your comment. I am very sorry for this bad experience, this is not in our habits. My husband, the usual chef, had a serious health problem, and we had to hire a new chef who is no longer part of our restaurant following your passage. I would be very pleased to see you again, and to apologize to invite you for a lunch. Thank you for your comprehension.

My cousins and I met for the first time in years, reuniting in Beziers. We had been on the road and were quite hungry, scouring the neighborhood for the perfect spot to sit and eat dinner. Imagine our surprise when, after ordering a feast of muscles, mackerel, and other âtapas,â when the waiter, at long last, arrived with our meal, there was no scent of food wafting from the kitchen. It was then that he proudly placed a tin can of muscles in front of him, followed by itâs cardboard container. Next, he served me my personal can of mackerel, and proceeded to serve the rest of us our cans/boxes. The waiter moved off, living us all slack-jawed. Eventually, he returned with a I basket of bread hard enough with which to construct a stone wall. Considering they charge between eight and $10 per can, and they cost about 1euro in the supermarket, suffice to say we didnât find it satisfying meal.

If you just want a restaurant then some expectations need to be set. Charcuterie and tartines dominate the starters with some substantial earthy and deep slow cooked delights such as Cassoulet of pork as a main dish. Fish lovers won't find fresh fish and vegetables are rare. For cheese there is chèvre from the exceptional Mas Rolland or perhaps a whole Saint-Félicien that will feed several for little more than cost price.Where Pas Comme Les Autres excels is in the wine selection. Romain is a Sommelier and "Vins Vivants" is the motto - there are plenty of well selected "natural" wines on show with several below 17⬠or 3⬠to 4⬠a glass. A wine lovers delight yes, but not exclusively (plus beer or bio juices are available). As a bonus all wines can be purchased at caviste prices.
