We had a voucher from our guesthouse owner that got us a free glass of wine and it was a GENEROUS glass of wine! This spot is easy to find and has a nice selection of wines. I enjoyed mine and definitely recommend this little spot!

Nice selection of easy drinking wines served by the glass or by the bottle. Good explanation given by the shop owner. Romantic wine bar and shop. Not cheap but excellent wines.

This restaurant is part of the Weisler family winery. They grow their grapes on the slopes of the local hill featuring the historical fortress. While the building is well kept, bright, and clean, and the food will keep you happy, the best part about this place is it's absolutely Alsatian personality. My German hostess, a local teenager, was equally fluent in a English and French... Or nearly fluent in English, but deftly and comfortably switched between the three languages to handle my curiosity about the menu, the kitchen staff behind her, and the semi-local French customers who popped right over the border to pick up a pizza for the night. This restaurant serves basic fare like pizzas and sandwiches, and more traditional dishes from the Schwartzwald. The winery displays both class and quirky charm in its crisp buildings, adorned with local art crafts. This is also a close walk from the Goethe Hotel, which is a great place to stay.

I visit this place quite often with my in-laws. The staff is almost like family to us, always friendly and welcoming. They have excellent Badisch food including seasonal dishes. My ultimate favorite is the forelle. It's served with perfectly steamed veggies and you can order the small or large portion (one or two fillets, respectively). It comes dressed with the finest and most delicate fish sauce, which is my favorite part of the dish. They also offer a nice variety of local wines and desserts. My only warning: everything is quite pricey and you MUST have a reservation. This little Gasthaus is often at its maximum capacity with recurring customers and therefore, getting a spontaneous table is highly unlikely!
