We were staying in Ragusa and decided to take a trip to explore Modica and found this charming wine bar. It was a very hot day and were looking for a place offering air-conditioning. We sat down next to an Italian family from Calgary, Canada and they were all fanning themselves. Service was a bit slow as there was only one person serving all the customers. After sitting in a hot dining room, I finally asked the owner to turn up the air-conditioning. Once the room cooled down, everything was fine. The food was delicious and the house wine was enjoyable.Thank you ! Grazie grazie

On a 3 week visit to Modica, Sicily in April, we visited the city's glorious cathedral, San Giorgio, many times. Sitting atop a magnificent set of 273 stairs off the Corso, we climbed the steps to the wonderful Cafe Duomo at the top of the stairs, and noticed a lovely outdoor cafe, but it was never open. We waited patiently, and on the day before Easter, we noticed it was open at last. It was worth the wait! Though we heard that the menu expands when it reopens in May, we found many dishes to our liking. On our first visit we had an exceptional and bountiful antipasta platter of local cheeses and meats (our favorite a pecorino infused with saffron), served with the best bread we had during our stay. Delicious toasts followed. It all went well with local beers. We returned the next day, Easter Sunday. Our meal was even more outstanding: excellent salads and crudités with dip, the tastiest and most unusual pizza we have had, again with beers. The setting is so pleasant; you feel you are in a lovely garden with knock-your-socks-off views. The host--Vittorio--was so welcoming and generous. The entire experience was one of many highlights during our stay in Modica. We hope to find it open on our next visit so we can enjoy more meals in this remarkable setting.

Martin Cafè, for 15 years in the heart of the baroque the ideal place to taste the CAFFE 'in various types (syphone, mocha, filter, Chemex) and, of course, and especially expressed with numerous and tempting variants including specialties with spices, cho
What else one can appreciate more than a master of his trade at the right place.I spent only few hours in Modica on my whole-day trip to Etna. But t was enough to sense special island-culture of Sicily and the spirit of people here. Not ingatiating toward tourists, but polite and friendly.I went in Martin Cafe for "some italian sweet drink and a cappuccino", as I told the bartender who was probably the owner, I got a glass of fine Muscat wine.Cozy place.

Wine bar in a little street in the hystorical centre of Modica. You can taste some typical and unusual recipes while you sip your wine. In a very characteristic location you can be carry into a magical atmosphere.
While visiting Modica, I popped into this stylish whilst rustic restaurant. Once in, the gentleman who I suppose owns it, approached me, very polite but friendly too. Sat down together and went through the menu with me, brought me two kind of Syrah to try and delivered a board of salumi, cheeses and Sicilian delicatessen. Very highly recommend the place, the atmosphere and the lovely food must be tried

Enoteca Rewine born from the passion of its owner, Baldo Casamichiela, for wine. The long family tradition in the wine sector and the curriculum Baldo led to a broad understanding of the industry, who want to share with all people with the same passion. T
We had a great time in this enoteca. We got to discover lots of sicilian products. The person working there really took the time to explain us where every product was coming from. He was very nice and you could tell that he wanted us to try as many things as possible. We tasted some great wines from different regions. We ordered a big player, which included :Home-made bread, Cheeses with marmelade, Sausages, bruschetta with different topings, olives, nuts.In the end, he even gave us a taste of Modica chocolate and sweet Sicilian wine for free. This is a quiet place and I would definitely go back if I am in the area.Thank you! It was a pleasure to introduce you to all of our local products! Se you soon!!

wine bar, happy-hour, light dinner. Is not possible menu gluten-free or vegan.
This is a lovely bar and wine shop with the outside seating area spread across two sides of the road in Modica Alta. It has a great wine list, cocktails and a small menu, and nice staff but the slowest service I have ever experienced in a bar, despite the fact that we were virtually the only two customers there - come on boys!
