The Cave is an exciting new concept in enjoying wine. Situated opposite the picturesque Milford on Sea village green, there is always a warm welcome whether you are looking to taste, buy, learn, or simply enjoy a glass of wine, beer, or even coffee with f
After arriving in Milford my friend and I were looking forward to popping in here for a quick glass of wine before walking up to Master Pinks for a fish and chip supper. We ran through the rain to find shelter in the reasonably busy bar, quickly found a table and waited. And waited some more. I eventually wandered up to the bar to see if I could order a drink there, but before I could say anything the (rather flustered and over stretched) waitress gave me 2 seconds of eye contact before saying -âYou can take a seat, we will be with you when Weâre readyâ. A rather abrupt and unnecessary greeting, a quick âIâll be with you shortlyâ or even the original statement with a smile would have gone down a lot better. Despite the unpleasant start I returned to the table and we sat and waited. And waited some more. After waiting a total around 20 minutes we still hadnât been approached or given any sign that the staff were even close to being ready to offer us drinks, so we decided to give up waiting and move on to the chippy. Not the greatest customer service, not even that great a wine list by the glass. Itâs a shame, as there seems to be plenty of potential for this place with other reviews. Maybe Iâll give it another go next time Iâm near by. Hi RichardThank you for your honest review. Really sorry you didn't experience our consistent excellent customer service on this occasion which we are renowned for, however i'm sure we can make amends should you give us another chance. We look forward to seeing you again next time you wait for Fish and chips.

Just visiting Lymington so popped in here for a drink - quirky place. Selling wines etc. There is a small bar serving great cocktails, beer, wine and hot drinks too. We had red wine a couple of cocktails and the cheese board - very nice! Iâm sure children are welcome but more of a grown up venue. Certainly worth a visit.

The Royal Oak changed hands recently and we are delighted that this pub is now serving great food, giving great service in a friendly and warm atmosphere, just 'down the road' from us. Our second visit was a Saturday night when they were extremely busy with large groups in, we were a table of 4. Our food came out on time, was as hot and tasty as on our previous visit on a Thursday evening when it was quiet - and with tasty properly cooked vegetables. This has now become our 'go to' place for food and atmosphere, always a warm welcome.
