We visited Traben-Trarbach in June 2016 and found this restaurant/ weingut on our way around the city. This family owned restaurant was really nice and we very much enyojed their wine and their homemaid grape juice.

Als Ausgangspunkt für Motorradtouren bestens geeignet. Aber auch das Essen ist sehr gut. Die Sauce zu meinem Gericht schmeckte selbstgemacht (wurde von anderen Gästen bestätigt) und war sehr gut! Insgesamt scheint man hier wert auf Qualität zu legen, eine kleine aber gut sortierte Speisekarte und alles lt. Aussage des Chefs selbstgemacht. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und flott. Alles in Allem ein Restaurant das man hier nicht erwartet hätte â nur zu empfehlen!

This was an unexpectedly good little restaurant that we found in Traben-Trarbach. The food was really good, unlike what you'd expect to find in such a place, the service was excellent, the place is also pleasant.

Visited this somewhat hidden away restaurant with a group of 7 friends -and we are so happy we went there! Walking into the back alley we loved the atmosphere right away. Nicely decorated and their food and wine followed up. All at good prices, particularly the wine. Good quality at a good price -what more to ask for? Add a friendly staff to this and you have a top recommandation for where to dine in Bernkastel-Kued All the dishes we had were good, I loved the beetroot I had as a starter. Enjoy!

We were lucky to find this little gem as we drove through the Moselle Valley. We had a light, delicious, well cooked and beautifully presented lunch here. Our server was lovely and attentive. She spoke english but didn't mind my clumsy attempts to order in German. I wish that we could have sampled the wines but alas! We were driving. If we are ever fortunate enough to be back in the area, we will definitely return to the Wine-cafe am Stadtturm!Dear Rdior,thank you so much for your compliments! Zeltinger Hof is the hotel, the belonging restaurant is better known as "Haus des Riesling" (house of wines). The restaurant offers a charming atmosphere, two nice terraces opposite of the house. Little bit of italian flair outside, but in fact you are sitting in a small town at the Moselle. The range of wine (all from the Moselle, Saar, Ruwer) is incredible big. Therefor we decided to choose the menu (4 courses) with a variety of eight wines. Wow - the best choice we could do. A sommelier chosen wines which are combined perfectly to the meals, sometimes challenging (according to the guess of the sommelier), but always in some ways fitting. The meals are of excellent very good quality. Small helpings, but that is what we wanted. So don't judge this as expensive: it is perfect in the combination. The service is friendly and aware of the guests. And don't be shy: they even serve a very good local beer. An absolute recommendation.

Excellent place to go to when you are in Krov or surroundings. We bought our wines quite some years at this winery. The family owns the wine yards for many many years. My parents already bought their wine from 'der Peter'. The son started experimenting and bottling a dry white wine, which we like extremely, and can be bought for more then ten years already. They also sell the sweeter Spatlase, or the famous trocken beeren auslese or the eiswein.

Very nice and authentic place. Great place outside below wine ranks, although you have to reserve or wait because it is so popular. But it is definitely worth it. Super friendly staff and nice authentic cooking. You can get quite big plates from bread to meat. Try the cheese balls..

Definitely a place to have a great dinner while in Traben-Trarbach. The owner and his family run the restaurant so you receive personable and friendly service. As well, their menu has an english translation. Our food was delicious and came very quickly after our order. The wine we drank was tasty as well. They have outdoor seating which was appreciated. Much of the food is inspired by local cuisine. All was good and this place is highly recommended by us.
