Welcome to the award winning Back Bistro in Folsom! We are Folsom's Premier Wine Bar and Bistro! We have moved to Folsom's Palladio right next to the theater. Serving 30 inspiring wines by the glass, a full craft cocktail bar, microbrew beers and a season
First time here, upon walking in the door there is a bar (which was packed and extremely noisy). We had a reservation so thankfully we were seated immediately. Once in the dining area, it was still noisy and difficult to have a conversation because the acoustics weren't very good. Service and food were great though. I ordered the Grilled Swordfish, it was amazing! I passed on the coconut lime rice that is served with it and got steamed green beans instead. The swordfish had mango salsa and a sweet Fresno chili buerre blanc sauce. I ate ever single bite...so delicious! My husband ordered the Mishima Ranch Wagyu Skirt Steak and he was pleased with his meal too (I thought mine was better though!) ha I would have given Back Bistro a 5 Star rating but the noise level killed it for us so that's why I gave them 4 stars. We will go again but next time, we'll dine on the outdoor patio.

Bacchus House is dedicated, centered, and in celebration of the California farmer, and their fresh, organic cultivated treasures, as Mother Nature's gift. With menus that change with the seasons, you will delight in the indulgence, of presentation, & fine
If you would like to see the Christmas decorations, the December 2018 Folsom Lake Entertainer Magazine (online too) has a cover article about the decorations, restaurant owner and menu. This restaurant provides a unique holiday atmosphere. The Halibut and Salmon were outstanding and the portions are enough to satisfy not overwhelm. The asparagus with the Halibut was excellent. Desserts are large enough to share. Reservations are a must as the restaurant is very busy during Halloween (decorations) and Christmas holiday. There is a large bar where you can also dine. The restaurant is located at the end of a one level mall so there is plenty of parking. If you have a large party, there is a back room with a large table. The Salmon was $30 and the Halibut $31.

We had never been here before but our experience was a bit interesting. The waiter was friendly and suggestive. He offered us samples which were very generous. We decided on our wines and ordered a cheese plate with his suggestions. Our wine soon arrived. The cheese plate was another story, it took over 20 minutes after we received our wine which we felt was odd. The place wasn't busy which made us very curious as to why it took so long. It almost seemed like they planned to take a long time in hopes we would order more wine. We probably won't go back.
