This isn't your "normal" restaurant. The restaurant is located in Eastport in a building that was originally a Sears mail order house. The decor has a bit of a european flair and is very comfortable. The menu encourages sharing from the charcuterie boards to the "small" plates to the some of the best rustic thin crust pizza anywhere. And the decadent Belgian chocolate dessert. The menu is seasonal with many of the ingredients sourced locally. I was there on a Sunday evening and the place was packed until about 8 PM. I am told that the Friday and Saturday wait times can be one to two hours. Of course the wine offerings are extensive and offered in a broad price range. Although you will have a primary wait person, they use a team approach to provide very good service. Thanks so much for your kind review. We strive for a smooth running "team" from the kitchen to the service staff, and are happy to hear that you had a pleasant experience. We look forward to your next visit.

After four years of planning and construction, Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant opened in 2005 in Orland Park, a south suburb of Chicago. The concept was unique. We would create a signature menu with a selection of dishes designed to pair perfectly with
Came here with out of town family. Not really a wine drinker at all however my family member had a sangria and another had some wine. Both enjoyed. I was there for the restaurant food. First upon walking into the downstairs entrance you will find the wine store...take elevator upstairs to dining room. The dining area was nice aesthetically...the noise level was a tad loud but not too intrusive. On to the food. Ordered may apps...the calamari (not a fan because it had a very thick coating and seemed very weighty and heavy not light and crispy the way I prefer). Mexican drunken shrimp...tasty but they overcooked the shrimp. Asian pork belly tostadas delicious and the FAV Crispy Brussels sprouts (I could eat this for my main!).On to the mains: Surf and Turf Filet medallions and scallops....good. Crispy Maui Shrimp... good flavor but again the shrimp was way overcooked....Please have the chef cook the shrimp properly because when you overcook shrimp it's like "rubber"! Beef short rib risotto...good and finally my dish Gnocchi Carbonara......unfortunately I thought the gnocchi was a bit to heavy and not light and fluffy but my son thought it was good. Overall a very nice dinner and an exceptional server...Madelein. I would return again just for the Brussels sprouts!

Snatching that elusive thrill of discovery away from wine snobs and putting it back in the glasses of the people, one customer at a time. American Coastal Cuisine.
$5 select wines, beers and cocktails for happy hour. Festive decorations for the Christmas Holiday. We had a great server who told us about other places we should visit. A great place with lots of spots for photos of friends or family celebrating!

Intimate Wine Bar featuring French inspired small plates, and amazing wines not normally seen poured by the glass.
Place is lovely. Service was correct. We were not impressed by the 2 wines we had. What bothered us was that the section of the menu titled "complete plate" is in reality appetizers or first course size. Maybe it is to be expected at a wine bar? But at 18$, I did not excpect a tiny dish that left me hungry. A simple clarification on the menu would prevent others to be disappointed. Be ready to shell out big bucks.
