Visited / booked a Sunday lunch here after popping in for a few still ciders last Thursday evening Glad we booked as the place was fully booked this lunchtime The Lamb is a great little village Devon pub that sells a good selection of real ales, ciders and wines - the staff are friendly and pleasant - there is free WiFi if you want it - children are welcome The dining area / bar is quite unique with a couple of sofas placed between the tables (there is also an adjoining restaurant area which we didnât use)We hadnât dined here before (although we did have and recommend the home made pork scratchings with apple sauce to complement a Crazy Goat cider (also highly recommended) on the Thursday evening) but liked the look of the menu / food on offer (see photo)We both ate from the Sunday lunch section of the menu - I had the duck, my wife the nut roast (see photos) Both dishes were extremely tasty and well complemented by a large Yorkshire and a variety of veg including cauliflower cheese - the portion sizes were goodI then had the sticky toffee pudding and my wife the bakewell tart (see photos) - again both were really good (I particularly liked the honeycomb biscuits with the sticky toffee pudding)Despite the pub being really busy the service was efficient With drinks and a coffee the bill came to well under £50 - which we think was great value We recommend the Lamb and would eat (and drink) here again - thank you Hi Johnthank you for taking the time to give us such a generous review. We look forward to welcoming you both in the no so distance future,

Stopped for breakfast with my family. What a delicious surprise. An array of delicious things to buy before you even get chance to order. The orange juice is freshly squeezed in front of you, which my children loved and the breakfast was amazing! Best bacon I have ever had! Eggs were done to perfection If you are looking for a place to stop for breakfast or a spot of lunch from local suppliers! Look no further! Truly delicious deli. I will be back for some hampers!

City centre cellar wine bar and restaurant with gardens
7 of us ate here on a Saturday night having struggled to make a table booking elsewhere. We were offered the table for 6.30 as they were fully booked that evening but we then had the table until 9pm, we weren't asked to vacate it. The menu offered a number of choices, with fish much in evidence. We all decided on mains and desserts, and the waitress explained that as all the dishes were freshly cooked we could make changes to the dishes, and there may be a short wait whilst they were prepared. Everything came as ordered and was of a good quality. The wine was sensibly priced. The 2 waitresses who served us were friendly and helpful, dealing with requests competently and cheerfully.Overall, a pleasant experience and good value for money.
