I've been to the Durham location a few times, and generally find it quite pleasant. This was my first time to the CH location and I found it a bit disappointing. I asked for recommendations based on taste, and the bartender working that night was not knowledgeable about the wines they had - and made several recommendations that really didn't at all reflect what I asked for. Moreover, at least half the wines I tried were obviously oxidized and had been open for a while and not properly preserved. Super disappointing for a wine bar. I had to try 4 wines for my second glass before getting to one that didn't taste like it had been open a few days. Seriously disappointing and don't expect I'll try this spot again with other good options in the area.

A tucked-away gem, TRU offers a healthy meal, interesting brews, and good wines for a fair price. The ambiance and relaxed feel with indoor or outdoor comfortable seating is perfect. I personally love the wooden tables and seats. One star was deducted because of an incorrect order (which we chose not to discuss and ended up being good anyway), outdoor cushions that need cleaning, and a little confusion upon ordering which the hostess did not explain. However, now that we know the ropes of ordering, we are looking forward to going back! Suggestion for improvement- waitstaff: clear the tables when patron are done but want to stay and chat. Overall, super cool place, delicious fresh food, and a great tree over the rooftop patio.
