Metto quattro pallini per il sentimento in stile memorabilia che mi ha conferito il Bar Centrale a Carassai. Austero e popolato da personaggi locali e relativo rumoreggiare dei teenagers che si danno il turno al biliardotto. Prendiamo un punch e ci facciamo un paio di giri al flipper che è una chicca. Per il resto tutto è nulla o tutto è il contrario di tutto; e chi ss e ne a me piace cosi.

Young people with taste, on a mission. People easily talk of passion for food, for wine, for quality, this is to watch it in action. To see the ready smiles of young people steeped in traditional high quality of local produce as they find a mix of excellent seasonal food and very good wines, is to understand life beyond stuff. This really is an experience, well beyond a video on your screen.This does not replicate.

The hostess (also one of the owners) created a custom plate for my wife and I one afternoon. There were various sausages, cheeses, sweets, and fruits. She also chose a couple of wines for us. My wife and I usually like fairly different wines; she prefers sweeter whites and dryer tannic reds. I prefer crisp whites and sweet smooth reds. She prefers red over white, I am the opposite. All this to say that we both highly appreciated both the white and the red the owner selected for us, which surprised us greatly. The meal was delicious, especially paired with the wines. It remains one of our most treasured memories of italy.

We enjoyed the very quality antipasto selection of cheese, salami and ciabuscolo, the local soft salami. Bruschetta and a selection of seasonal peppers and zucchini were accompanied by very drinkable wine. A cosy atmosphere and very welcoming in this medieval village.
