Reviews on Wine Bar food in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Catapulted to fame for its part in the 1988 Winter Olympics, this former coal-mining town in the Canadian Rockies is a perfect base for visiting some of the country’s most impressive national parks. First stop for most visitors is the ski trails in Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park. Contemplate natural wonders at the Museum and Geoscience Centre, and mush through the snow on a sled-dog tour.

We went here for dinner tonight and it was like a game of two halvesThe food that was delivered was absolutely fantastic and all credit goes to to the kitchen staff as we have been in Canada for three weeks and this is some of the best food we have hadThen comes the service which was appalling We ordered four things and ended up with two and when questioned no one even caredAfter paying our bill we talked to who we think was the boss and he cared even less than the waitress Go here but donât expect good to be looked after The main man thinks he has it all together but he needs to go to service school and learn how it should be done Remember we are the customers and you just being cool doesnât cut itHello, Thanks for your review. Glad to here you enjoyed your food selections. I would like to follow up with you regarding the service issues.I am the owner and hands on manager and I did not have any interactions with your table and this incident was never brought to my attention. I would like some more details on which evening you were in and who you interacted with so I may investigate further. Thanks in advance for your time. [email protected]

My wife and I dined here for our 5th anniversary and flat out loved it. We were greeted promptly and wished a Happy Anniversary. We were seated upstairs in a beautifully appointed dining room with a wonderful view. Our server then brought us a complimentary glass of Prosecco for our anniversary. Wine list is limited but has some excellent choices. I ordered the Rack of Lamb and my wife ordered the chicken. Iâm very particular about my lamb as I do not like very gamey tasting lamb, it must be mild and succulent. This one nailed it and is probably one of the best dishes of lamb Iâve ever tasted (see pic). My wifeâs chicken was fabulous as well (see pic). They strive to use locally grown or harvested ingredients and the results are spectacular. For dessert I had the seasonal mouse and my wife had the flourless chocolate cake. Both were wonderful. Coffee was excellent as well, strong and flavourful (probably French press). Service was top notch. We cannot wait to go back as this is one of the finest restaurants weâve ever experienced.

Located in beautiful Canmore, AB, Hy Five opened its doors in January of 2018. We love to support small and local, so we serve $5 draft beer brewed in Canmore and Calgary, as well as a great selection of craft canned beers and fine wines for prices that c
Great addition to Canmore opening earlier this year and a massive improvement on the previous establishment that was at this location.Slightly off the beaten track an not overly touristy. Service is efficient and friendly. We have not eaten there yet, so cannot comment. $5 beers which is great.Thank you, we're pretty happy with the new look as well!
