Iâm a regular at this place and brought my partner to celebrate his birthday. After being seated inside next to two couples with 3 children (including a crying newborn) we moved outside to get some quiet time. The carpaccio was tasteless, followed by a veal chop (greasy and covered with tasteless breadcrumbs) and the duck, which was Ok according to my partner.Service was very good and the pleasant waitress looked after us well. She convinced us that the banana crepe brûlée would be âcracking goodâ and we were not disappointed in the quality although the size was very small. We took our own wine and had less than 1.5 bottles for which we were charged $40 corkage. (Far more than the $9.5 that another reviewer was charged.)Overall the food was just ok, if on the bland side, but certainly not the usual standard.

My business partner and I treated one of our staff to his ideal Friday lunch (a great steak) and we were not disappointed - you know it's good when you're still thinking about the taste/flavour of everything you ate on Saturday morning! Charlie is brilliant - I've been served by him before on previous visits and yet again, he was of great assistance to me as a meat novice! I absolutely love the decor and being in a beautiful antique building - how I loathe the usual soulless surrounds of a modern restaurant. I'll be returning for sure every chance I get. From a work perspective, it's perfect for a carnivorous business lunch - but I imagine equally so just for a relaxed great meal.Hi,Thank you so much for your fantastic review. We're delighted to hear you had such a wonderful time and continue to dine with us.I will also be sure to pass on your comments to Charlie.Look forward to welcoming you back soon!Kind Regards,The Moo Moo Team
