This local pub/restaurant offered a really good variety of meals and drinks, all well priced. Having read a number of recent reviews I cannot identify with these as this was really not our experience. My wife and I both chose an ante pasta followed by kangaroo loin with a red wine jus and vegetables â¦which was all well cooked and well-seasoned. Wines and beer are all good, as is the service and cleanliness. The establishment offers made to order food, tasty and features prompt service. There is good parking and the restaurant is well located on Murray Street.

The wine here was good enough to buy a few bottles. We didn't eat, just came in for a tasting. We were disappointed by the service - after receiving outstanding service at all of the other wineries we'd been to, First Drop was a bit of a let down. The staff were not particularly friendly or eager to impart their knowledge, and we felt a little unwelcome. Perhaps the service person was just having an off day, but can't say we'd come back or recommend.Hi Clare,Thanks for taking the time to offer your feedback. It's sorely disappointing that we weren't able to deliver the level of service and enjoyment that should be expected from First Drop Wines. Enjoyed lunch to celebrate our daughters birthday. Had the truffle and mushroom one, potato pizza, and the tomato and basil. Best pizzas we have had in a long while. Had the crunchy chips as well. Yummo. Great service from all of the staff. Very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend this place for lunch , or dinner. Please go and enjoy for yourself. You will thank me.
