We had dinner here twice and breakfast three times during a three day stay. Breakfasts were well done and the dinners bordered on excellent. They have a good chef working here. very good service too.It wasn't overly busy when we were here (Monday and Tuesday) but enough people - I hope they can keep up that standard when its busy.

This is a great old traditional pub that takes you back to the days of old. There is not a lot of room to move around in the bar, but thankfully, there is an additional dining area for guests/ parties downstairs or in the garden. We choose to stay by the bar, and we were very surprised by how busy it was for midweek and the size of the village! The menu is well balanced and varied and the portions ensure you are well fed! The homemade pie was excellent, as was the fish & chips. The service was welcoming and friendly - glad there was no wifi! The town has two pubs and both have excellent Chefs! Venture out of the city and come visit!

We came here on a recommendation as you can park right outside. Quick service, reasonable prices and the best fish and chips we've had in quite a while. Lovely big chunks of cod, and chips done just right (not too crispy, not too soggy!). The long queue that formed as we left suggests that are popular, and for good reason.

Olif is a Welsh tapas bar with boutique rooms in Betws Y Coed, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. We serve a Welsh-themed tapas menu, delivering a fusion of Welsh and Spanish small plates which weâre sure everyone will love. Aside from our juicy

From started to dessert, everything put in front of us was delicious. You could really sense that the chef/s loved their produce and treated it with care. My black pudding starter was delicious. My Welsh lamb off the bone main was exquisite. The trio of puddings (which I shared with my partner because I really 'didn't need' a pudding) were beautiful, especially the creme brulee. The menu isn't vast but that's a good thing. It was still difficult to decide what to order because everything sounded so good. All the staff were lovely, friendly service without being over the top.I hesitate to describe it as Modern Welsh cooking because the chicken skewers my partner had were more Mediterranean than Welsh. Thank you Arwel and Anna for a lovely, lovely meal (and the birthday chocolates). We'll definitely be back.Diolch yn fawr iawn, noson perffaith a bwyd penigamp .Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review of Chandlers Brasserie, it is so very much appreciated & we are delighted you enjoyed your birthday meal with us. Arwel has incorporated many Mediterranean dishes that have been influenced by his travelling & passion for food over the many years of his career. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the very near future & once again for taking the time write such a wonderful description of your whole dining experience.Kindest Regards, Diolch Yn Fawr Arwel, Anna & our dedicated Chandlers team

A casual day of open-top driving around Snowdonia with my Sister left us hungry by mid afternoon! My sister recommended calling into a regular haunt of hers - The Bryn Tyrch!Browsing the menu, we spied something that we had not sampled for many a year! Liver & Bacon! What a brilliant choice! Oodles of onion gravy over a dollop of smooth mash ...not forgetting the liver & bacon!Amazing!

Loved this very traditional Welsh pub in Capel Curig, within walking distance from Moel Siabod and a base for the end of many other fab walks in the area.Seating available outside if you want to enjoy the view but the seating inside is great too with a fire to keep warm! This place is dog friendly and serves great Welsh ale which I highly recommend!

We stopped here for a bite to eat and a drink while camping in the area. We'd past it's few times and said we must go here and I'm so glad we did. It's a beautiful place and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. What had a coffee, a pot of tea and to eat we had a scone with jam and cream and some bara brith. The scone and the bara brith were absolutely delicious. There is some walks you can do behind the ugly house which we want to do when we visit there again which we sure will be.
