Reviews on Vietnamese food in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Melbourne is proud of its neighborhood precincts, each offering a unique cultural experience. No other city in Australia has such clearly defined areas. This could be because Melbournians are both worldly in their outlook yet tribal in their local loyalties – as seen in the fanatical support for their local AFL football clubs. Here history is cared for and exemplified in the originality of diverse neighborhoods – each has a unique face but all of them will greet you with a smile.

Located at 15 Hardware Lane, just off Bourke St in the CBD, Rice Paper Sister offers the same fresh, organically sourced ingredients and inviting atmosphere as Rice Paper Scissors, with a "finer" dining experience.
The reviews on this restaurant are accurate, it didn't disappoint. The standout dish for me was the Kingfish Sashimi, very fresh and delicate flavors with an unusual passionfruit accompaniment. Four of us shared our dishes and with the exception of the crispy prawn and cauliflower dish, all were delicious. The prawn dish was a bit too fishy tasting for me, but that could just be my preference. The service was great, friendly and efficient. The only reason not to give this an excellent rating was the state of the bathrooms, not the cleanest I've seen.Highly recommended.

Located in an iconic Melbourne laneway, Hochi Mama is a fun and relaxed restaurant/bar serving up modern Vietnamese-inspired street food. Expect interesting interpretations of traditional classics, as well as more contemporary Asian Fusion menu items. In
Exceptional food and staff...could not fault this restaurant. Great value with their $65 deal for two people with meals that kept all the taste buds firing. Would highly recommend if you are doing a night out at the theatre or even just a nice dinner out.

Rice Paper Scissors is modeled on the hawker dining bars of South East Asia with a shared-eating concept being the focus of our offering. We aim to serve only the freshest ingredients, sourced organically and ethically where possible - and all our sauces,
Iâve had the pleasure of eating at Rice Paper Scissors several times. Itâs crowded and loud but the food is worth it. You need to dine early or else put your name down and wait for a table but as itâs not really a place to linger the tables turn over quite quickly. Ordering the special of 5 courses to share is a good option. Love the fresh flavours. Interesting cocktails too.
