Dastarkhan is a sister of Platan restaurant. Both are nice place for dining with good service. The menu has a combination of traditioinal and international food.
Dear guests and residents of our historic and fabulous city of Samarkand! We invite you to our cozy restaurant complex "Tumor". In the basement of our establishment, there is our karaoke bar, you can enjoy our specialty cocktails and sing your favorite so
I was with friends from Spain. At the expense of the kitchen there are no questions, everything is very tasty. The veranda on the 3rd floor is beautiful, in the evening there is a pleasure there, there is also a bar and there they serve branded cocktails and alcoholic drinks. Friends also liked it very much, both the place and the food. The price for a restaurant is very acceptable, for four person it will be an average of 300 thousand soums total. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent restaurant. Actually there are two restaurants under one roof, so you can choose both from traditional Uzbek and European menus. Very pleasant and calm ambience. Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Welcoming staff, wide selection of meals and drinks. Everything is served rather quickly. Very attractive pricing for such level of service and food. Do not miss this gem if you are in Samarkand.

Traditional home cooked food. Freshly made every day. Lunch and dinner.
Sitting on a bed viewing Tashkent Street comings and goings, chilling out with a very good salad and tea, the perfect way to relax for a couple of hours prior to heading off to the airport.

We booked a table for two for dinner. The menu showed pictures which were helpful. We ordered a Greek salad and a meat skewer. The pictures showed 4 skewers and we decided to share. The salad arrived and so did the meat dish: one skewer with 5 bits of lamb, two of which were very fatty. Apparently there was a misunderstanding: we had ordered one portion of salad and one portion of the skewer dish and the waiter understood that we wanted just one skewer (why do they show a picture of four skewers on the menu) ? We ordered another two skewers; a waitress informed us that they had run out of lamb, we could have chicken. Anything other than chicken was not available. We ordered bread, I asked for yogurt to go with the bread - it was not available. This is a standard dish which you get everywhere. We finished our meal munching through a few pieces of meat and a salad. Fortunately we found a very nice coffee shop which saved the evening.

Top 10 European food in Samarkand, Samarqand Province, Uzbekistan

We came to Besh Chinor wanting traditional Uzbek food experience and Besh Chinor did not disappoint. We ordered the lamb shashlik, "fresh" salad (cucumber, tomatoes, and dill salad), plov, and bread. The menu was only in Russian however there was a staff member who did speak English and was able to go into detail about the dishes. We were also able to go to the shashlik counter and choose which we wanted (there is vegetable shashlik available). The food was good but very standard in taste thus not a 5 star review. However, for a real Uzbek experience, besh chinor was very good.

A very unassuming place is Osh Markazi, no flash no pomp just good food. The osh was fantastic, some of the best we had in the region during our 3+ months travel in the area. The place doesnât stand out you either hear about it or find it by accident, it is very basic no frills but really some good food at a great price and the locals eat here so you know it has to be pretty good. Definitely check it out if you get the chance.
