Walked down for an Iskender meal mid week. Very busy place.Friendly service and large portion sizes. Falafel a little dry and regular Iskender had half the plate as rice. Falafel serving way smaller than meat portions. Husband couldn't finish his as it was way too big.Fresh ingredients.

Called in as we couldn't find much else open on a Monday night and had a really nice meal. Lots of mixed salads and great lamb skewers with a range of dips and dressings. Would happily return.
âTurkaz âis located on Heretaunga street, Hastings. Itâs on the Flaxmere side of the city just after Pak and Save. The restaurant / Takeaway is two Turkish men who obviously pride themselves on selling and serving the traditional food of their homeland. The offerings are on a board above the counter, and the salads freshly made are displayed there. Drinks Cabinet is there with a wide variety of cold drinks. I ordered the âMixed Iskander âand this meal to have here in the restaurant and it was served in a clamshell takeaway container. Despite this casual approach, I found when I opened it, that there was more than enough food for me to eat in a single sitting. The âMixed Iskander âconsists of the three types of meat that they serve in the kebabs, this was placed on a bed of rice, and was also served with a variety of Salad, some Hummus. There are more than 10 sauces to choose from, however I decided on two the Garlic Yoghurt, and the Aioli. The presentation was a little rough, however the food more than made up for this and there was as I explained an abundance. I suggested to some new diners who came in after me, to order the same, as I am sure that they would not be disappointed either. If there was an addition that I would suggest, it would be the serving of Turkish coffee as I really needed some after such a satisfying meal. Coming again, you bet I will!
