This place is great for a nice all day breakfast, reasonably priced and great sized portions, nice and clean place on high street convenient location. Staff are helpfull and a quick service not a long wait as well.

My friend and I had dinner here last night and the food was fab as per usual. I started with calamari and he had halloumi with our mains being a mixed grill and chicken kebab. Have to congratulate the chef as the meats were cooked beautifully and remained succulent unlike in some other places I've been to. The salad (with a gorgeous dressing) and rice that accompanied the meat was perfect and plentiful. Loved the bread too! We rounded off the evening with Turkish tea and baklava. Have to add that the place has had a makeover in the last couple of weeks (decor, furnishings and the loos) which makes a massively positive difference. Summing up, I've been here on a number of occasions and the service/treatment from this family-run business has always been consistently good....well done Team Alex's!

While this meal was pleasant , it was nothing special.There is a huge amount of lamb dishes on the menu as youâd expect but certainly Iâve tasted better.The staff , however, were friendly and accommodating.Hi Niall,Thank you very much for your feedback, I am so sorry for the fact you didnât like your meal. We are using best part of lamb in our kitchen and most expensive and quality lamb in uk at moment and all our food has the same taste in the last 6 years (since we open )all our customers are very happy about our recipes that is why Otto restaurant is the busiest restaurant in Wanstead

Weâve just moved into the area and weâre told by our sellers we MUST try the local Turkish takeout .... we had high expectations (from the great recommendation) but wow was our food just incredible tonight!!! Henry & Ami (hopefully Iâve got their names correct -although Iâm sure weâll learn soon!) were super friendly!! Canât wait for next weeks takeout night already! Happy fri-yay locals :) - Day & Josh

I went here with my family, we were rushed to make an order, then our plates were removed before we finished our starter. The main course food was nice, but I prefer other Turkish dishes I have eaten in Dagenham instead. The portions were smaller than the last time i went. The traditional Turkish warm welcome seemed to be lacking. We asked for the desert menu but they have no deserts. It seems they have also stopped serving Turkish tea at the end of the meal.

Well, what can I say. My first ever visit to a Turkish restaurant and I am blown away. The bread alone is unbelievable, add a salad and a mixed kebab and now Turkish food is my favourite food. Where has this been all my life. Please try this restaurant, itâs quite frankly superb

We went here in the evening before the cinema.We had their grill for 2 people. There was more than enough food. The food was well cooked and tastey. Service was good and staff very friendly. We will visit again

I think it says it all when you are dining in a restaurant and immediately think I must leave this place a review on TripAdvisor. I recently dined at Mirage to celebrate my anniversary with my partner. It was my first time back to the restaurant since 2015 as I was aware that the ownership was different and therefore was reluctant to try it again. The experience was even better than my memories. The service and value for money is all exceptional. Moora has kept the standard just as good as before if not better. Service â the service at Mirage is a very personal one which makes you feel like you have had the full dining experience. Moora is extremely polite and friendly, and was insistent we had a complimentary after dinner drink which we had to politely decline a few times! Food â The complimentary bread and garlic butter to start is a delicious appetizer and I am yet to find ANYWHERE else in Essex where I live that does a better steak. The steaks are a considerably reasonable price of circa £20 for a portion size which is roughly 400g. The flavour, tenderness and cut is delicious. I adore the steak diane. In my opinion Mirage is much better than any other more fancy decorated restaurants charging circa £35 for steaks half the size. Mirage also offers a vast amount of choice on the menu of meat and fish dishes. I am so glad I came back here and will not leave it so long next time, thanks to Moora for such an enjoyable meal. I would highly recommend Mirage - it will be the best value for money steak you will find in London guaranteed.

So I went yesterday and I cut through my chicken cube and found a hair, the restaurant apologised but nothing else was done. Quiet shocking and totally would not record anyone else to go here as thereâs no hygiene. God knows how many hairs there was, no flavour in the lamachun! After finding the hair we was still made to pay, you would of thought the two soft drinks would of been complimentary but no.
