Things to do in Suphan Buri
Pak Chong Wine Restaurant is a large and relatively new-looking establishment in the middle of Suphan Buri City.It has lounges around low slung tables and has live music, although we dined early and the musicians had yet to set up.There were several groups who were obviously set for the night, with bottles of Johnny Walker Black Label (Thai's favourite whiskey) plonked in the middle of the tables.I came to the conclusion that Pak Chong Wine Restaurant is more successful as a bar than it is as a restaurant, because our meal was very ordinary and very overpriced compared with other Thai dinners we enjoyed during our three day stay in Suphan Buri. For example, the previous night we had enjoyed an excellent, original and creative Thai dinner of five dishes at two thirds the cost of our meal at Pak Chong Wine Restaurant.
Our Hotel made this recommendation; advising that the restaurant offered both good traditional Thai food and dancing by both men & women. On ordering a bottle of white wine the waitress confirmed the bottle would be very cold; it was very warm on arrival. After waiting 20 mins + for our order to be taken, the mixed vegetables arrived within 5 minutes ahead of the other dishes and sat on our table for 10 mins + before I advised the waitress these had now become cold. The food was good when it arrived as was the wine once chilled. The entertainment was colourful if not dynamic, with the entertainers struggling to smile throughout. The staff did not smile which completed a very poor service & disappointing evening.

This is long history restaurant at new location closed by old location. The best menu is Som Tum and Grilled Snakehead Fish (named as Pla Chon Poa). Other dishes is also good until great. I will return back again.
We live in Suphanburi. We eat here fairly regularly. If you can find it (up an alley way on the left next to a small temple off Prachattipatai Road - down the road from Sanguan Ying School - on the same side), it provides a lavish jungle-like outdoor eating setting with floor and ceiling fans. There are also air-conditioned rooms. It supplies bountiful 'professional-karaoke' style entertainment (lovely, not too overbearing - and they even sing happy birthday when required!). The food is great - really fresh and Thai-Thai. The owner (?) is Thai and speaks English, and the staff speak Thai, it seems. They are very helpful! Lovely way to spend an evening!

The stir fried lobster with salt is unique that no one can copy.cost range 600- 800 baht per lobster but is well worth. It is a must order item.grilled lobster on charcoal is better than else where ..pla ma nam daeng is always excellent and good portion. Lobsters are big and fresh and medium cooked.pla ma is local big fish, similar shape to sea bass and now become rare outside bang pla ma. The owner and cook ( his wife) are chinese that own the restaurant for more than 60 years with same quality of food.my family drive from bangkok for lunch atleast 3 times a year for the past 60 years .Other cookings are also good but the 3 orders above is good for 3 persons already.
