While on a holiday with family we were introduced to Savanh, which is Bangkok Thai Cuisine. Now, I always stayed away from anything with Thai in the title because I personally experienced curry so hot, that I couldn't taste anything for a few days. The wait staff at Savanh explained that you could actually eat Thai curry and enjoy your remaining meal(s), because they could control the spices to your liking on most dishes. There were 4 adults in our party, of which 2 adults had favorite dishes. We started the meal with Sa Tay Chicken or sliced grilled chicken on skewers served with a peanut sauce. It came with a small cucumber salad that we could pick from if we so chose. We also had a dish of crispy tofu, my personal fav. Our next dish was a seafood soup which was really tasty, yet a little difficult to eat since you had to remove the muscles from the shells on your own armed only with a spoon. Dad ordered his fav, the roast duck curry: it comes with steamed rice on the side, which you place on your plate first before spooning the curry on top. This dish was not spicy and I enjoyed the flavors of the ingredients. It consisted of bite sized pieces of duck, pineapple, tomatoes, carrots, peas, and basil in a red curry. Mom's fav, is the Pad Thai because of the crushed peanuts, I'm sure. A huge dish sporting Thai noodles with bean sprouts, onion, eggs, and of course, some crushed peanuts on top. I had ordered shrimp fried rice thinking that I probably wasn't going to be able to handle the heat on the other dishes. That wasn't the case, this experience changed my mind of how I interpret the word Thai. It was way too much food and all of it was delicious. The restaurant is on the smallish side, so I would make reservations for groups over 4. Expect to take your time in eating, this is not fast food. They do take-out and the portions are good sized for family style of eating.

Junuary 22, 2015We went for lunch with a longtime friend from out of town. We have been going here for years, but this was a particularly nice experience. The restaurant is filled with light from the many windows, and is clean and serene, and the food is always delightful. The servers are charming and friendly and helpful. The menu is extensive. When family is in town, we often order 6 different dishes and pick it up to share at home.

Located in a mini-strip mall on a busy boulevard, Osha Thai has 8 tables arranged comfortably around a fairly spacious dining room. Subdued lighting, saffron walls with Thai wood carvings adorning them. My wife liked the soft jazz piano playing; I would have preferred authentic Thai music. The food was excellent. We were started with a complimentary cup of soup, which seemed like a hybrid of Tom Ka and Tom Yum- zesty lemongrass flavor and the sweet/sour character of Tom Yum, but also hints of coconut and galangal. We also split a papaya salad, which was crisp and delicious, with a touch of heat. My wife ordered Pad Thai with chicken which was very good. Lighter on the peanut flavor than is often the case, which was actually quite pleasant. I ordered lemongrass chicken, and it was exceptional, very flavorful, very aromatic. We are eager to return and try other dishes, especially some things on the menu we were unfamiliar with. Our server was friendly and attentive, and took careaful note of my wife's request that her Pad Thai, which is described on the menu as having boh chicken and shrimp, be prepared with only chicken (allergies). Service was sloooow, however. We arrived at opening for lunch, and were the only people having table service (although one gentleman did arrive shortly after we sat down to have a large to-go order prepared). While the cup of soup arrived promptly, but it took a half hour, maybe 40 minutes, for our papaya salad and entrees to arrive. We will definitely return, but will remember to invite our patience along!
First few times we came here the food was absolutely amazing! Hands down the best in town. However the last few times we have visited, it just wasnât the same. We usually order green curry and Panang curry. This past week we visited with my son and mother. My 5 year old son ordered the chicken satay and enjoyed it. However I found it quite chewy. Same with my green curry. The chewy chicken just is not very appetizing.I just LOVE Thai tea and it was a cold day, so we decided to order hot tea and forego the usually iced Thai tea. It sadly just wasnât hot. It was barely Luke warm. I will probably continue to visit this place and hope it tastes as good as Iâve had it in the past. The flavors are always fantastic! Just find the chicken to be a tad bit chewy. Maybe IâllOrder vegetarian next time.
Now called My Thai. Everyone had something different. My Coconut milk soup was excellent. Several had beef dishes. The Hot Thai tea was good. I liked the white cloth napkins and white table linens. Service was prompt and our five gourmands got fed for less then usual. Good value, we thought.
