Find out what Thai restaurants to try in Phang Nga. Spectacular limestone islands are scattered throughout Phang Nga Bay, a short boat ride from Phuket. Koh Ping-gan, also known as James Bond Island, is one of the most striking islands and features a dramatic rock pinnacle piercing the water. On nearby Ko Pannyi Island (Sea Gypsy Island), there's a village built on stilts, perched over the water with a dramatic monolith hovering behind.

Great welcome from the owner of Pinkies Pak Weep .We have eaten in her old restaurant at Ku Kak beach and she has now branched out to try a new venture here at Pak Weep. The position of the restaurant is fabulous, sitting up from a lovely bay and facing great sun sets. No surprise that the food was first class also the coctails went down very easily. I'm sure Pinkies Pak Weep will be a great success and we wish them well .

This place is a well known restuarant for local tourist, locate on main road, between Khaolak and Ban Nam Khem. They serve Thai southern food, seafood and spicy.Price is average, a bit higher than average but still ok, worth to pay.

This is an authentic Thai restaurant right on the edge of the beach at the south of the island. We ate there at night so cannot tell you about the views! We were picked up from our hotel (Six Senses) by their complimentary vehicle which is a nice touch albeit you get in to the back of a Toyota pick up truck! The first thing to say is that the steps down to the restaurant are many and steep although well maintained. We noted that as we had to walk up them at the end of the night! The menu is very extensive and caterers for every taste as long as it's Thai. They will happily cut back on the chillies for you if you ask otherwise the food is pretty hot. There is a sign over the kitchen door saying No Monosodium Glutamate which amused us but everything is so fresh and very nicely presented. Our three course meal with drinks came to 1600 Baht so about £33. The only expensive item was my glass of white wine which was around £6. Interestingly their Christmas tree was still up and fully decorated..........

This restaurant was selected as it was en route to the Temple tour. The first thing you see as you walk in is the view over the river which is amazing, wherever you sit you will have a wonderful view. The service was friendly and quick and the selection of fresh cooked Thai style food served was delicious and tasty. This may be slightly off the main road but definitely worth finding.

Were staying in the area and once we discovered Mamas kitchen went there every night.Lovely to walk on golden sand to such a stunning location, the perfect place to see amazing sunsets. Lee is a lovely, happy hostess, who is a fabulous cook.Tried many of her dishes, all outstanding, but the tempura prawns were out of this world.Great prices,a unique experience, we will be back.
Just off the main road, behind the lovely English sign 'Genesis Garden', is this lovely, clean place with very friendly positive owners. This restaurant has a small simple garden on front, places to park your car, and it is away from the street-noise.Snacks like French Fries, or even a spaghetti are available together with a lot of Thai dishes. The taste is good, their service & prices are also great.Good for a cup of coffee/smoothy, or lunch or dinner. Opens around coffetime, closed around eight.

We were keen to try Be Friend and went for our first dinner whilst staying at Manathai. They were very busy and are obviously popular as many tables were reserved. Our meals were just ok. The beef in the massamum was so chewy it was virtually inedible and the pad thai was underdone. Perhaps they were having an off night as their service was not great either (left waiting ages for more dishes we added on- think it was forgotten but came eventually when asked again) Maybe we would have had a different experience if we had tried again but after finding some other excellent restaurants in the other end of the beach we stuck to them.
