This is a new restaurant so has to establish itself. But when we had lunch there were quite a few locals (always a good sign) and our husband/wife team were excellent hosts. Then there is the food - absolutely marvellous. I had noodles with beef, my wife Cambodian curry. Nems as a starter. Everything prepared completely fresh. wonderfully crisp vegetables straight from the wok. Good value too, with an excellent rosé at 14 euros a bottle plus Rouge en Pichet. I wish them every success in their new venture.

Genuinely friendly and efficient service from the start to the finish. Good value and quality food at good prices. Slightly odd opening as some 'normal' days they are closed so check before you go there. But stall eating out until they are open, it's worth the wait. One of the best balances between value/service/quality and food in the area and I've lived around here for 10 years.

Only just opened.....
We had a craving for Thai food and decided to seek out the Sookjai we weren't disappointed. It's slightly outside Narbonne town centre but well worth the shortish walk. If you drive there, you have to park in the street outside which is quite busy, or find a space in a side road. This might be easier in the evening. The atmosphere is quite busy as it's a small restaurant run by two people at lunchtime. More of a cafe in some ways, but they serve Thai and Chinese beers and decent carafe wine. The green papaya and chilli salad is nicely spicy and there's a choice of green, red or yellow Thai curries, yellow being the mildest. We really liked the flavours and it was a treat to have Thai herbs in the curries. They also do dishes that sound more Chinese, including a couple of steamed dim sum starters.Good place to go, consider booking because it fills up quickly.
