A co-worker suggested I go - so glad I did! My husband loves Thai - he said the taste was superior to Royal Orchid (the other local Thai restaurant in Montpelier). They do have a limited menu so I stopped at Wilaiwan's and then on to the Royal Orchid to pick up my daughters fav. Thai dish. Two men were working and they both interacted w/ their customers. I only had rolled quarters for cash, but they took it without a worry so I didn't have to walk to the ATM machine. As one customer was leaving the small sit down area he yelled back to the chef, "great food again!"... chef smiled and waved!!! LOVE IT!!!Great food, flexible owners (who pays in quarters???? - me!) and they even made the food a bit hotter for my husband. Love the guys and the food!!!!

We hadnât been here for a while, so we gave this place another try. It was disappointing, and no better than our previous visits. The same cramped, slightly drab interior. Inattentive service from the overwhelmed, rushed waitress. We shared a kind of gloppy curry that was spicy hot but had no richness or complexity of flavor. Our appetizers were sort of a fried spring that came with a tiny dish of flavorless dipping sauce as well as a chicken dumpling that was undercooked and flavorless. The bill for this not very satisfying meal was on the high side. I canât recommend this place and wonât be back.

Very informal setting..order at the counter. Family run and very friendly. Ordered a curry dish and it came out quickly. It was not too spicy and it tasted fresh. Great place for lunch or take out.
