Supan's Kuche has amazing food and absolutely decent prices. That, in itself, is enough to make me a regular at lunch. But its good to know the rules: a) if you show up late at lunch time, you will wait. b) Expect the place to be packed. c) There are no places to sit (it doesnât matter; you are there for the food). d) If you have an important meeting to attend, make sure you know your clothes will smell when you leave. e) Dishes are ready when they are ready, so donât expect to get your stuff with your group. f) In most cases, its, best to call ahead and take your food to go. g) The phone number for the "kitchen" is not the same as the restaurant, don't mess up. h) They are not so friendly on the phone, but thatâs ok, they are busy, just be ready to accept this; after all, you WANT their food.

At Yam Yam Thai Restaurant, you can find the usual dishes served in Thai eateries in Germany. We tried their chicken-on-a-skewer and summer rolls - quite tasty, the flavours enhanced by the accompanying sauces. âLad Naâ - Thai-style wide noodles in thick gravy - is also served here.Of interest is Yam Yamâa specialties menu (items #100 onwards) - you will find several choices of whole fish prepared in different Thai styles. Our Tilapia was deep-fried to perfection and we practically devoured the entire fish, crispy tail, fins and all. Now THIS is what we call special!

I ate at this restaurant with my friends, one of which comes from Thailand, and I must say that we all loved it. The restaurant is really small but extremely comfortable and cozy, you feel like you are a guest in someoneâs house. The waiter was so nice, spoke thai to my friend and offered to make us a bag with our leftovers (since the portions are so big). As for the food, I think that the pictures speak for themselves.

After much anticipation, here we are at Khen's Isan Garden. My husband and I have a "litmus test" for Thai food - if their "Tom Yam Kung" is good, then chances are high that the other dishes would also be good. Khen Isan's "Tom Yam Kung" is decent - the prawns were fresh, and we were even given special chili flakes to spike our own soup to our liking! Next up was "Som Tam" (green papaya salad) - the crunch was there, but sadly, the subtle fragrance of green papaya was drowned in a dressing made with Thai sweet chili sauce - a big no-no! We were a bit apprehensive by the time our third order came along - "Lab Gai". The well-balanced use of kaffir lime leaves redeemed an otherwise mediocre dish. Finally it was time for our second "litmus test" - the green curry. At first taste, our Green Chicken Curry shouted of coconut milk and fish sauce... lots of fish sauce. Our verdict: the ice-cold "Chang" beer was the highlight of our meal! Based on the dishes we ordered, Khen's Isan Garden lacked the "funkiness" we hoped for. We continue our search for the real deal.

The food was excellent and the service also. Mannheim inner city has many International Resterants, but not enough American Dining like in the states. Their are of course fast food Mc Donalds and Burger King and KFC and other type Hamburger dining places which are also tasty.

After three sucessful years in the centre of Mannheim, we are now happy to welcome you in our new location in Neuostheim. Enjoy the well know quality of Natthanicha in a new atmosphere.
Don't get me wrong: We enjoyed our dinner at Natthanicha Thai Kitchen in Mannheim. But let's be precise: It's not a "real" restaurant. It's a small dining room holding a maximum of about 16-20, with tables arranged in such a way that you don't have to overhear every single word of your neighbors' conversation. Two friendly Thai women serve, and maybe also cook. Everything is freshly made. It's served way too fast: we are big eaters, ordering 2 starters and 3 mains, and it was all over in under 45 minutes. Good food, but rather generic. Portions are generous. But it's the usual, nothing unusual: pork laab just OK, spring rolls only fair, then yellow curry chicken, red curry beef (meat tough), and shrimp pad thai. Friendly people. Cash only, no alcohol, good iced tea. Germany has some really top Thai restaurants, with unusual and interesting offerings, I'm thinking about places in Tübingen and Stuttgart, the latter one of the best I've ever eaten in. Maybe there's even one in Mannheim. But the number one restaurant in Mannheim???? I doubt it; in fact I hope not! Natthanicha is a good solid "fast food" spot for Thai food fanatics like us. I don't think its owners pretend to much more than that.
