Find out what Thai restaurants to try in Koh Tao. Drifting serenely in the Gulf of Thailand, the palm-fringed island of Ko Tao takes its name from the abundant sea turtles that reside on its shores. White sand beaches sheltered by steep hills – some only accessible with four-wheel drive vehicles – and 300 days of sun per year invite long afternoons of lounging.

We had such a lovely time at Babaloo restaurant! Its a charming place with excellent vegetarian/vegan food. The meat substitutes are amazing! The owner sat down with us and we've been chatting with him about the island while eating the delicious food. Located little off the main roads, but lately connected with a good concrete street, its now easy to get there by scooter. We will come back for sure!

Seafood by Pawn Restaurant is a familiar restaurant located in Mae Haad Village on the island of Koh Tao. We have recently relocated to Green Mango Food Court in a brand new restaurant to meet the needs of our growing customer list. Our chef cooks traditi
After reading the reviews we thought this place would be mins blowing. One of the dishes we ordered was calamari bbq. It looked liked it was steamed as there was no grill marks and the inside was still slimy (undercooked) we asked them to cook it some more and Iâm not sure they understood because it came back almost the same. The seafood red curry was ok but nothing special. I wish we would have tried the fish Instead.

Went with my teenage son who is a noodle fanatic. He thought the food was delicious, I agreed it was tasty but made a mistake having the "big noodles" with my pork - overcooked so flaccid and unpleasant texture. Overall good value just wouldn't eat the same again.

P Oy's Place is a small family run restaurant on Koh Tao serving authentic Thai cuisine. Head chef and owner Pornsri Piper, 'P Oy' for short has been a chef for 35 years in restaurants all over Thailand and London. The restaurant opened at the end of 2016
Words cannot describe the quality of the food at this establishment. We came back especially for the green curry which was the best we have ever had in our lives. The owner is very friendly and personable and her passion for making people happy is reflected in her dishes. The restaurant has a very homey feel and the owner is exceptional at Thai cuisine. If you are a foodie and love Thai cuisine it does not get any more authentic than home cooked meals from Poy!

I'd heard about this place from several sources before I gave it a go, and I have to say it was one of those places that is just as good as people say it is. The duck is superb and comes in a variety of ways with different flavours and levels of spice. It's also super good value and conveniently located in Sairee village.

Thai Food restaurant in Koh Tao Fresh Fish & Squid from Koh Tao sea There are many local fish. Have many duck menu.
Ok... I have only been on the island for one day but I think I lucked out last night and found the cheapest beer on the Island. Large cold Chang for only 70 Bhat! The savings on three beer paid for my Pad Thai which I have to say was pretty good as well! The place is not so busy yet as it is fairly new and across the street from the side most people walk on but I think it will only get busier. Nice layout with sturdy chairs and tables.. Free self serve water which means you walk to the cooler. Fairly diverse menu mainly featuring Thai dishes. I was there early so the mosquitpes were out. They started a mosquito coil and placed it beside my table to help out. Had a good talk with Mr Nice about the restaurant and his family. He offered to let me come each day and use their wi-fi if the signal at the resort i am staying at was not strong.. 9 not required). All in all a nice pleasant evening with good food and cheap beer !Thank you for giving us a chance. And hope that next time we can serve you again next time.
