There have been significant changes to Siam Spicy since last we visited. From the outside, the venue looks much more inviting. The interior has been remodelled to provide "booth" seating for four (possibly six?) diners and there are two window tables for couples. These changes provide a degree of privacy and isolation from the mayhem that is the open dining area which can be very noisy on a busy night.Service is a bit rushed and somewhat intrusive but not impolite. The food has also improved. We opted for a mixed entrée which provided a good cross-section of the menu and was great value and of flavoursome quality. Mains were pretty much basic, standard Thai cuisine, high in flavour, reasonable quantity but really nothing out of the ordinary and later on in the night there was that dry thirst that often results from Asian cuisine. It is strange however that any restaurant, having gone to such lengths to upgrade and enhance the dining experience, should spoil the evening with a piece of dubious practice when it comes to the Bill. Corkage was charged at an exorbitant $28.00. Four of us shared two bottles of wine. For this "service" did they open the wine? Well, no. Did they pour or top up? No again. Did they change glasses between bottles? Sadly, not even that! When questioned, the wait staff advised that we were charged "per glass" - whatever that meant? Pushed further, she retreated, returning with a revised Bill charging corkage at $14.00.As I said, when you put so much effort into rebranding, why spoil it for a few dollars?

The service was excellent, the waitresses were nice and were willing to assist. The setting was comfortable and it did have a little ambience (the place was buzzing) I would consider the food as being good to average and my average rating is based on the quality of the food not just how wonderful the staff were. The meat in the massaman curry that we had ordered was chewie, even though it was supposed to have been cooking for 4 hours. The taste of the sauce was OK and the pine nuts gave the dish some crunch to accompany the chewiness. The chicken in the stir fried crispy chicken we ordered was over cooked and thus not very pleasant to eat. The garlic Fried rice was OK and the fish cakes (starter) were very flavoursomeMaybe we ordered the wrong dishes - Will not be rushing back

The place is a Thai fusion restaurant, therefore it is different to a regular Thai place, very nice dishes! We enjoyed it a lot. However service very average. Must be a family that owns it,the mother(young waitress called her mum) a bit rude, no conversation, no eye contact, talks to staff while processing the bill. Not attentive and will not go out of her way for you.

Another restaurant where the chef does a great job, but let down by the wait staff. We enjoyed every dish, but the service lacked atmosphere, interest in the patrons, they were barely doing their job. We have been to their next door restaurant, The Garden of Good and Evil, we have had fantastic service each time, this crew needs a touch of next door to become a great restaurant.

We used to come here quite a lot when we lived closer, and on a whim decided to make a booking. Better than ever; delicious, healthy Thai food with amazing presentation. Attentive staff, super quick turnaround, nice comfy chairs and good atmosphere. As close as weâve come to decent Thai food outside of Thailand. Love it and canât wait to come back.

Spread before us was an array of the freshest and healthiest ingredients which were masterfully prepared into four delicious Thai dishes - Pad Thai, Green Curry, Tom Yum Soup, and Spring Rolls. Seriously, I couldn't eat it all by myself, so I had to get help from the others present ;) ... and still, we all carried out a bag full of left overs each. Kaew's skill and experience easily flowed into her tips and techniques which she shared with great energy and enthusiasm, interspersed with entertaining stories, amusing banter with Nigel, and liberal doses of "dah-ling!" Highly recommended.

Great local restaurant. We have been there a multiple time. Once with kids, and three other times with friends.Food was great, except for one time, when we ordered Salt & the Pepper Squid Salad. Squid wasn't good, it has a smell. We return it, but they didn't offer us anything else and charged us for it...We will definitely will go there again, but no squid for us next time :)
