Reviews on Thai food in Hercules, California, United States. Hercules is a city in western Contra Costa County, California. Situated along the coast of San Pablo Bay, it is located in the eastern region of the San Francisco Bay Area, about 10 miles (16 km) north of Berkeley, California. As of 2010, its population was 24,060, according to the United States Census Bureau. The site of Hercules was first developed in 1881 as a manufacturing facility of the California Powder Works for the production of its patented dynamite formulation, Hercules powder. In 1882, the Hercules Powder Company was incorporated and assumed responsibility for the Hercules site. It was one of several explosive manufacturers that were active along the Pinole shoreline in the late 19th to the mid-20th century. The small company town that grew up near the facility subsequently became known as "Hercules", and was incorporated at the end of 1900. Starting in the 1970s, Hercules was heavily redeveloped as suburban bedroom community that lies along the I-80 corridor in Eastern Contra Costa County. It has a very ethnically diverse population.

We came here on a weekday just before 6pm. The host motioned us to sit anywhere we wanted. Service was fast and efficient. We were given time to peruse the menu, food came out quicker than anticipated. We shared shrimp pad thai, pork with garlic, and chef's special. I also got a thai iced tea and mango sticky rice for dessert. Overall, the taste of the food is average, nothing really stood out. Prices were reasonable, portions fair. I wouldn't mind dining here again.

Food still reasonably good BUT the kitchen needs to manage the food service better.A few of us went out to dinner, and there was no one there when we got there. After we ordered other people came in to dine-in and to pick up food for take-out. While we were there, several people picked up their take-out orders.The biggest issue this time around was the serial arrival of the dishes, with a gap about 15 minutes between the dishes. It got so that whoever got their food started eating and they were part-way through with their food before the next person got their food. So when the last person got their food, everyone else was practically done and everyone else had to wait while they gobbled their food.Other major issue: poor air circulation in the restaurant (fan inadequate), and it was extremely stuffy.From now on, we will drive a mile or two more and frequent the other local Thai restaurants.

People like this place on yelp. I have had the chicken green curry and the vegetarian i like but they have some Laotian food not just Thai.I really did not like the pork meat ball soup, but the Kao Poon, chicken and vermicelli noodles coconut and mint leaves and basil great , love it.i like the waitresses

This cute family run restaurant is on main street in the sleepy town of Martinez. The food was delicious and portions much larger than Thai restaurants . My family has enjoyed this spot for years.
