PHO SAIGON has some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had, even as good or better than that found in cities like Washington, DC or Sacramento, CA. Their fresh spring rolls are excellent with large pieces of shrimp and plenty of mint. And the Grilled Pork Vermicelli is absolutely fantastic! Super fresh with all the right ingredients. I also tried the Grilled Pork with Egg Roll and Vermicelli which was equally good. And the service is great. I have been here for both lund and dinner, with equally good food and service. And it is located conveniently about 1/4 mile from the 24th Street (Club Hood) gate of Fort Hood, down Rancier on the right in the Rancier Plaza shopping center. You have got to try it and I know you will go back again and again - I did.
Not much from looks of place. Take out only but there is picnic tables next to place. Eaten here twice always enjoyed the food

Got introduced to this place by a Filipina friend of mine. This place secretly became my food mistress. I cheated on every other food establishment with this hidden jewel. If you like to eat good food (period), go here.

Stopped in during a track meet. I had B-4 (pork over noodles) and my husband had B-5 (chicken over noodles). Fast service, nice young man taking food orders got our drinks quickly. The pork in the dish, despite being really flavorful was mostly fat. They need to get a better cut of meat to make this dish. I ended up just getting a box to take home so I could use my fingers to get all the fat off as it was too much for a knife to get at. The chicken was lean but I think the pork had better flavor. The bubble tea smoothie was interesting and I love tapioca.
Had their coconut curry and it was really good. The medium heat was plenty spicy and flavorful. Tried their spring rolls and the shrimp was the highlight. The sauce for the spring rolls was tamarind and I prefer the peanut sauce. Service and price are good. This place is great for anyone who enjoys Thai food.
Went here on a friends recommendation- l love Thai food, but most I have tried since moving to Central Texas have been mediocre at best. This was GREAT- large portions, absolutely delicious and very well priced. I need to go back and try their lunch time buffet now.

I ordered the chicken and rice dinner from the Thai Orchid, but received a horrible attack of food poisoning. I have never been that sick in my life before or since. While I hope this was a one time occurence, I haven't risked a similar experience again. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere.
