A friend book this on our behalf as I didnât think we were going to have more Asian food. She assured me it was well recommended. The front of the restaurant looked majestic guarded by a pair of lions. Inside the restaurant was clean and well decorated. There were many familiar looking and nice pieces of Asian ornaments behind the counter on glass shelves. Our server was a young and pleasant Malaysian girl always with a smile. We had a green curry, rendang & Fire hot wings. The food was delicious and fresh. Curries garnished with fresh basil, lime leaves and birds eye chilies. We also spoke to the chef who was the owner, and find out that this is a family run restaurant operating since 2005! I know we will definitely be back one day. We went to Lanaâs for a family meal. We were seated immediately and we were given a table with loads of space. The food came quickly and everything was delicious. My only gripe is that the toilets are upstairs, behind a locked door that only staff can open. It just doesnât make sense. There are only 2 cubicles, which doesnât seem enough but I donât know what the ratios should be. The stairs are very steep and with 2 small kids, it was an almost like an expedition! The staff were lovely. It was a bit pricier than I had expected but the free ice cream made up for that. Long established Chinese restaurant upstairs in the centre of Killorglin, a charming town on the famous Ring of Kerry route. Decent food at a reasonable price. Pretty general Chinese food menu but the beef szechuan was lovely and the chicken chow mein again tasty. Refreshingly honest waitress who admitted they do use MSG but can omit if requested on some dishes. Nothing spectacular, just decent Chinese food with great service.
