Walking the streets of Ballarat and feeling hungry we came across the Jasmine Thai.Surprised to find the food was really great and the presentation very good. The staff were the most pleasant and friendly people we have ever encountered in any restaurant and made our meal most pleasant .A waiter showed us how to fold paper napkins into Lotus flowers ! They know what they are doing as they appear to have been there for a long time. The only thing could suggest is that they upgrade their shopfront as it looks a bit tired. We would return anytime .

From the people who brought you the multi award wining Catfish Thai, Mr Jones is the next step in quality relaxed Asian food. Open Wednesday to Saturday for dinner and lunch on Fridays - dine in, takeaway or just grab something quick at the bar
Our special occasion restaurant that never lets us down. Excellent on all criteria. We always go for the banquet; excellent value $65, opportunity to sample a variety of amazing dishes, and caters for food preferences (vegan and chilli intolerance). We are so fortunate to have this high standard restaurant in beautiful Ballarat.

This restaurant's food is light years from Pad Thai! The chefs have thought hard about what is distinctive about Thai cuisine and then blended this with various dishes to create food that is world-class. We have eaten in top restaurants in London, New York, Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Barcelona, and Catfish Thai could rival any of them. The drink list is extensive, and complements the food - set menu and a la carte. The food is quite reasonably priced. Our only (minor) gripe is that we did not see the rice, which is served with the mains, listed on the menu, and so we assumed that it must have been included - rather than priced at $3.75 per person. One serve would have sufficed for both of us. It was a brilliant meal which demonstrated food artistry at its best.

Warm up from the inside out at BrownGrain Thai Restaurant, authentic Thai recipes- with a modern twist. Just opposite Town Hall.
Provision of Thai-inspired food is competitive in Ballarat. There is good reason why Brown Grain is a leader in the field; the food is excellent, the menu comprehensive, the internal surroundings pleasant, the service efficient, the price fair. On a week night we had not booked, and were surprised by the number of customers - in itself, a positive sign. Next time we will book.
