We spent the whole day biking in Hsinchu Coastal Trail and Hsinchu Grasslands under 38C scorching summer heat. We had some issues at the TRA station that we were left with 30-40mins for dinner. When we arrived in the restaurant, we received a very lively welcome from the owner and a promise that they'll do they best to prepare our meals real quick which they did! We had a good meal (pizza, burger and salad) and made it in time for our train to Taipei. I appreciate the reliable service :)

I stayed at Ambassador Hotel for business purpose, found this local Taiwanese cuisine restaurant on the way walking to Big City Shopping mall. Just located beside Ambassador Hotel HsinChu. The environment is great, having a good time with my colleagues, The foods they served tasted great too, they served in small portion, just right enough for us to taste few dishes, but not over full. Definitely will come back again.

This stall located within the Cheng Huang temple grounds. Find any of the entrances of Cheng Huang temple and it will lead you into the Temple's courtyard. Within the courtyard are many stalls. This stall is one of them. It is located at the corner nearest to the temple's alter. All the signs are in Chinese characters. So, if you want to order, best is to point to the array of meats; tofu and other braised stuff at the counter. We ordered, the mince meat braised rise with a slab of braised pork belly and tofu. The pork belly is one of the best I have eaten - very tender. The chilli and other condiments available at the counter go well with the food.

This is the best duck restaurant I ever been. It is a smoked duck and the business is so good that we still need to wait and share a table around 2 pm. The most famous dish is the duck meat rice. We had several dishes (oyster omelette and few other Taiwanese food) in nearby famous "Temple" place. Thus we only tried the boneless duck meat. Additionally, I had one to go because it is my mom's favorite.

We were invited to this restaurant for dinner. Were pleasantly surprised by the beef noodles we had. This is definitely the best beef noodle soup I have ever had! Must go and eat! However, prepare to wait. It is always a line!

I love eating at Din Tai Fung, regardless of where the shop is located. This one is really nice in that on weekdays, you could actually make reservations for lunchtime! No need to wait in line! The service is really swift and friendly.I believe that when eating here, the more the merrier! The menus are in English, but to order, they give you a checklist to tick off that is only in Chinese! Luckily there are numbers you could match, but don't be surprised if certain numbers are listed, because they only serve the veggies when they are in season. My favorite xialonbaos were the truffle and çµ²ç (Chinese okra). I also really enjoyed the mini sesame buns. The fun part of eating here with friends is the ability to order a bunch of dishes and try everything! It's all tasty! I think the quality is very similar across the board at all of its chain restaurants. This meal was just as good as when I first discovered Ding Tai Fung back in Seattle and Bellevue, WA.
