Nothing special quality wise. What ruined the experience was the waitress who, after taking orders ''Menu 1'' for two of our friends, all she brings is the main course of the menu. Our friends asks her what about the soup, and she said: you did not explicitly ask for it. Our friends were to nice and just ate the main without wanting to discuss any further. When the time comes to pay the bill, our friends ask for at a least a discount as the menu was not served in full. The waitress said, well i can bring you now the soup. Whether you had or not the soup, the price remains the same. No discount. In other words, she was absolutely completely against any discount, she took no credit for her messed up service.Had not yet had such an experience in a restaurant. So if it happens that you go, make sure when you order the Menu, to tell the waiters: BRING EVERYTHING THE MENU HAS, THE SOUP and THE SALAD etc.

"Das Restaurant Pappalappa ist ein trendiges Speiserestaurant mit Gourmet-Ambitionen im Kantonshauptort von Obwalden. Nebst dem Pappalappa befinden sich im GASTHAUS zum LANDENBERG das Muffis Nachtrestaurant und die Havanna-Open-Air Bar, zwei weitere pulsi

Recommended by a friend and well worth a visit. We had game for the main course, venison entrecôte and roe venison stew. Starters were ravioli and a lettuce and mushroom salad. Chocolate fondant and damson parfait to finish. Each dish was carefully prepared and tasted excellent. Drinks: beer, water, sauser and coffee. There was the option to pay a little more to get a second serving of the main course. Despite not taking this option we still received an extra helping. The service was excellent. Friendly and prompt. Prices normal for Switzerland and value for money. Highly recommended

Went to the Seefeld restaurant located bang on the shores of Lake Sarnen, next to the camping site. The plce has both outdoor and indoor seating arrangements. Initially, we took some beer & coffee and sat outside, enjoying the sunshine on the lake front. When it was supper time (like most restaurants, this one closes around 8pm too), we went inside and had pasta meals along with fries for dinner. The food was pretty good and bit pricey, but in line with other Swiss restaurants. Service could have been bit warmer though.Decent place to go when in Sarnen camping site

We had dinner at the Jordan on a Saturday evening without reservation, which is why we had to sit inside. Nevertheless, we had a very good dinner with Bruschetta and Egliknusperli. Though the interior would need a brush up we had a nice evening there. The only negative thing was that it took the waiter about 20-25 minutes to bring us the bill and let us pay. Still I would recommend this restaurant also for families with kids.
At the very heart of Switzerland, embedded between mountaintops and crystal clear mountain lakes, we love to welcome you with a hearty "Grüezi". Local products, great chefs, and cheese from the grassing Cows at our door, give our food the savoury taste yo
Sensationelle Ãlplermakkaronen oder Bauernbratwurst. Tole speditive Bedienung. Und das alles auf einer der schönsten Alp der Schweiz. Sehr kinderfreundlich mit Spielhäuschen und freilaufenden Geissen. Einfach Top!
We have been going to the Sachseln Gasthaus Bonhof for many many years, through the change of ownership from one family generation to the next, and even through generational changes in the regulars who come here. Through it all, the GB remains a place where you can find excellent Swiss fare prepared for an almost entirely Swiss clientele, at a reasonable (for CH) price. Alper Magronen, the inevitble fondue and sausage/onionsuace and weiner schnitzel all meticulously crafted and served with great pride. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Sachseln.

4-star establishment immediately adjacent the Brother Klaus church. The restaurant is directly off the hotel lobby, and outdoor seating is available in good weather. Upscale interior with a quiet atmosphere and large windows. They have a specials sheet: a number of varieties of steak tartare. The salmon tartare was superb. Very highly recommended.

We had a single dish each, both quite good. Good and quick service, they could speak French (and probably also English) and translate the german-only menu. Dessert (meringue with whipped cream) not bad as well. A bit expensive, as all the restaurants in the area.

The Restaurant at Jugendstil Pax Montana hotel serves some great stuff. The views of the mountain valley from the hotel restaurant are just breathtaking. Wine and cocktails served were good as was the food. Service was excellent as well. The hotel guys served us with some sandwiches & quick bite when we arrived after closing time on one of the days.
