You feel welcome at once. The cosy traditional restaurant is placed in rural surroundings. The service is polite and timely. The food is traditional and rural. The dish sizes and accessory vegetables are not balanced and seem not well thought. The food is traditional Swiss. This being a bit limited in variation and fantasy - reflected in the menu and servings.

We came for lunch to this great restaurant in Laax. As usual service personnel was very friendly attentive. Food came quickly and in large portions and tasted great Mostly traditional Swiss kitchen - perfect for a break during an intense day in the snow. Is this a helpful review? The restaurant has only few sitting places, therefore do reserve! We were delighted with the choice and the good quality of the dishes. In particular the starters were surprisingly well rounded, as if this was all it is. One can really see that the kitchen cares already from the begin. The kitchen is not spectacular or complicated. It is simple to understand and enjoy. Highly recommended.

We had ;lunch at this mountain hut as part of a walking tour. It is located at the end of the first chairlift going up to Flims Naraus. We had pasta and potatoes (plus a salad) as part of our tour. The food was very good, and the views (we ate outside) were spectacular. We highly recommend.Dear realbigbear, thank you so much for your great assessment. It was a big pleasure to welcome you in our restaurant. We are looking forward for your next visit.Kind regards The Foppa-Team

Wir freuen uns, sie in der Wintersaison ab 21.12.2019 bei uns begrüssen zu dürfen! Antoinette und Sven Behrendt
We popped into this 10-day-new-owner mountain restaraunt yesterday. It blew us away!!! The food was unbelievably delicious. I had pear ravioli with foie gras, supremely amazingly. The service was unbelievably friendly and with the most amazing views. I think you would struggle to find a better spot in Flims Laax.

Elegant Art Nouveau inspired Belle Epoque restaurant.
We called in here after a day walking down the mountain and settled into the lounge area for hot chocolate, apple strudel and vanilla sauce. Absolutely delicious but very overpriced. We called in again another day no apple strudel so had to make do with apricot cake. Absolutely delicious. The hotel is well appointed - I believe classed as 5 star. The decor is old style, not really to my taste as rather fussy. We were a bit put off by the clutch of loud middle aged English guests braying about their skiing exploits and very relieved that we had chosen the lovely Belvedere Hotel to stay at and not this one. So I recommend the cake but nothing else

We had parked in Flims and were walking to the Il Spir viewing platform when we spied this restaurant on route. It was just after midday and noticed many tables were either occupied or reserved. However, they managed to find a table for two. The menu was quite extensive. We chose a couple of home made local dishes; the Birnenravioli (Pear Ravioli) and the Capuns (a sort of cheese and bacon filled chard leaves) washed down with two Flims brewed beers. Delicious. Service was busy. Staff very friendly. Prices reasonable. We will return but will probably reserve a table ahead!

As a result of a poor restaurant offering at our hotel, we found ourselves researching alternative options on TripAdvisor and found Las Caglias. You would definitely not find this place by accident!.....the food, atmosphere and overall ambience are well worth the effort. We ate there on a busy Saturday evening, having booked a couple of days before. All 3 courses were delicious; I started with a wonderful Steak Tartar, followed by another wonderful beef dish, whilst my wife had a turbot based main, equally well cooked, presented and tasty. To finish, my wife and I shared a toblerone mousse. Overall a great experience and highly recommended; we will definitely go back next time we are in Flims.

Each course is an ode to the local alpine fare. In Restaurant Epoca our chefs serve up enchanting regional specialities, in an ambiance where you'll be tempted to stay for seconds â and thirds. A wish the Epoca is only too glad to fulfil.
The Epoca is located at the Waldhaus Flims Alpine Grand Hotel & Spa. The restaurant was full over Easter time and we were glad we had a reservation.Everybody is sitting in a glass cube which has been fixed to the outside of a historic building, looking into the park. It is stylish, but not overly. The staff was friendly and attentive. The wine menu is good as well.We both had starters and a main. Everything was excellent, but I most liked my goose liver, wow!If you are in the area you must try it. Dear guestThank you very much for your warm and wonderful review and for your recommendation. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and had such a memorable experience. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon again.Sincerely yours,Simon RusconiGeneral Manager
