Things to do in Skanor
The restaurant Havsnära is specializing on fish, even though they serve also meat: filet of beef. We all had fish with pasta. We should have chosen differently, and that is easy to say afterward, isn't it! I wasn't overly happy with my meal. The flavor was too weak, in my opinion, particularly as they promised some spicy heat on the menu. Furthermore, though the chef obviously has ambitions, it will probably take some more experience to have the kitchen match the menu and its nice wordings. I rate the food as average and will give them some months to shape up, before giving them another chance. The place deserves a top quality restaurant only due to the location. A stunning view if one sits on the veranda. They claimed that it - the veranda that is - would manage the winter but I am skeptical. Why? Because the winds by the coast is strong and cold in winter. Anyway, I hope they can manage to get it fit also during the dark side of the year. Yes, I am a fan of Pink Floyd.Oh, and I need to say something about the service provided. It was great! I am sensitive to how I am treated and I left with good thoughts regarding the service. The other, and the main reason to why one visit Havsnära will have to improve.
We tried this pizzeria for the first time an as we live in the neighborhood we ordered the pizzas on the way home. The were on time and if not hot at least very warm. The three pizzas were delicious. Margareta, falsterbo (seafood) and with Salami and ham all went down very fast and well.

This is a great local place. Run by Kenneth and his wife they have a limited menu but quality raw materials means great food. Personalized service make you come back many times. It is a small place with less than 20 seats but during summer also a terrace. Wine list is good, reasonably priced and fits well with the food that they offer. It was the 5th time we were there and we will be regularly coming back.

Had booked a table for 4 in the evening sun on the big terrace for a relaxed and tasty evening, and were not disappointed. We orderered different dishes and we were all pleased. I ordered 8 smallish California rolls for 95 SEK. Good selection of starters, sushi and mains and pices are reasonable. Service was friendly and good. We'll certainly come back and will also try the take-away. Unfortunately, we forgot to take a menu with us, so have no idea of the takeway prices.T

Märtas is very good if you want an alternative to the normal American style coffee chains. Here you choose between salads, baked potatoes or sandwiches, apart from various hot drinks and cakes. You also get friendly service.I like the low key ambiance and the small courtyard, weather permitting. There's also a small shop, but the opening times are not as generous as the café's, although the flowers, plants and quaint pots are on show in the courtyard adding to the quaintness. Food was ok, but please note that if you'd like bacon with your Caesar chicken, you need to order it extra. - The tables in the courtyard were somewhat dirty, but maybe this was because it was at the end of the day and near closing time.

In spring/summer, Millennium has tables in its covered courtyard and conservatory-type building. However, we came here in October having made a reservation in the cellar where the restaurant is located in autumn/winter. Although food was good, our meal was distracted by the fact that there was a playroom with toys aimed at children and Swedish children don't play silently. There were no parents to be seen, because they were sitting in the room next door, whereas we were placed next to the toys. We asked for another table and were told it was fully booked. We, as well as some other adult guests, complained to the staff, who did not seem to bother. Finally, the party with children left and we could eat our food in piece. As I said, the food was good, but firstly, I really think it's a bad idea to have an open room with toys in a restaurant, and secondly, when it exists, guests should be informed when making their reservations.

For years I have hoped a restaurant would open in the old station house in Skanör and finally one has. The Station has a cosy atmosphere and an outdoor space close to the public play ground of Skanör's centrum where the little ones can run and play whilst waiting for the food to arrive. The menu offers a good selection of basic but very tasty dishes and they make a delicious lemon lime drink. A few different beers and other alcoholic beverages are on offer as well. As with many new establishments there some teething issues such as rose mix ups and delays with food but I am sure these will resolved and things run smoothly over the next month or so as I hope The Station will become a permanent and popular feature in the vicinity.

There are places where life goes a bit slower, where time lasts a little longer and where the food tastes a little bit better. Just three miles south of Malmö youâll find Skanörs GästgifvaregÃ¥rd, a unique place and one of Swedenâs most beautiful Inn. We o

The shop will be open from Midsommer to the end of July. The shop will have our smoked salmon and pickled herring.
Imagine: tasting a beautiful seafood soup, smoked shrimps and homemade bread with a pint of Charlis SkÃ¥nsk Lager; seated in a Swedish country-like , white-wood atmosphere with mostly Swedish families and friends chatting around⦠and behind the windows: sea, sky & seagulls above the tiny red Hus of the marina. Understated, cool but friendly, not that cheap but tasty and open-handed: Skanörs Fiskrögeri is pure Sweden. (At least for a non-Swedeâ¦)
