For years, my husband and I ate here frequently and were always pleased; I'd estimate that we went at least two or three times every month. Fortune Buffet was recently renovated and new policies / prices have been established. Earlier today, we went to have lunch and were told that the purchase of a beverage is now mandatory. Even water and hot tea are no longer free. At the cash register, there are now two signs: one gives the price for the buffet and another informs customers that an additional beverage charge will automatically be added. As a matter of principle, I will not pay $1.69 (plus tax) for a glass of ice water. Before I would do that, I'd rather give the money to a charity! Whoever decided upon this additional mandatory beverage charge is certainly foolish! We left without eating.

Valentine roll today. So delish and adorable too. Family had their standard sesame chicken, which is all white meat and not greasy, and teriyaki salmon which was done nicely. Love that brown rice is always an option and still delicious. Lovely prompt service. Try the hot and sour soup! I feel like there's so much goodness in that it could cure cancer!

We went to the windlass for a large party birthday celebration. The service was good considering we were a group of 20 with individual orders. We had the short rib special which was the best we’ve ever had. Would also recommend the teriyaki wings and calamari for appetizer. Thank you for your review! The ribs are great.

It's as if it's a terrible inconvenience to order from this fast food stand located in the food court at Rockaway Mall. The person taking your order doesn't acknowledge you or bother to look at you. It's as if he is annoyed. I've gone there 3 times, had 2 different cashiers and the same experience. Why bother to get a job serving people when you act like you're being inconvenienced doing your job?! Food is ok...when you are craving sushi and just want a quick lunch, but after going there and unfriendly counter service, I'm thinking why bother, I can find another place. Sushi is nothing to rave about, like I said, just ok.
